I'm working on a Windowblind for Mardi Gras. I've got the task bar and start button the way I want it, but I can't make up my mind on which way to go on the window parts. Should I go transparent (only colored) like Aero style, or opaque and shiny plastic like?
Hmmmm...This or That, huh....you can have both if you make a substyle....I like the "Flashing" skins when it comes to Mardi Gras!

Here's something else you might want to consider k10w3. Under General Discussions in the forums there is a category called Sneak Previews. Once you think you have something to show but not yet complete make a posting there with a screenshot of your desktop. It would be a good way also to seek help if you have a problem with a skinning issue. Community members are also ready and willing to help.
Good luck with your skinning effort, waiting to see what you come up with. 
That's a great idea, Philly0381! I know from working on the Birthday Suit(e) community project, that getting the input from others is really vital in pulling my very best out of me.
DrJBHL, I think I'll wait to tackle substyles for a future skin. This will only be my second blind, and I don't think I have enough time to have it ready by Mardi Gras, if I were to try to learn substyles, right now, too. But definitely will have to try that on the next one! THANKS!
Just because WB supports trans and blur doesn't mean you have to use it. 
As long as it has a mask adn beads, I'm good.
And if you cn hide baby jesus in the skin somewhere . . extra points.

I can vouch for N.O roads, 3 flats in one day driving thru. Did have a HELL of a time at Mardi gras tho 
It's got a couple masks, and it's got LOTS of beads. LOVE the idea of hiding the baby Jesus in there (King Cake is the main reason I celebrate every year; I've cut way down on my drinking, and anything I have to flash belongs to my man now, but my family looks forward to my King Cake every Mardi Gras, the same way they do my cookies at Christmas, so, it's turned into a family tradition we'd adopted since we used to live on the Gulf Coast).
