The fact that they are able to move themselves is the real fascination, not their size. An ostrich egg is a single cell and can weigh up to five pounds and is the largest known single cell, so large single cells are not unheard of.

It is quite interesting that they have the ability to move along the sea floor.

An osterich egg is not a cell at all. It could contain a zygote, which is composed of a single cell, but that would be small.
