All those delays are really began to grind my gears

I would think twice before I preorder the second mini expansion

This is just plain stupid now, I lost count of the constant delays, now.  I remember the patch 1.1 was promised during summer.  It's winter time now.  I guess I wouldn't be able to play entrenchment anytime soon neither, am I?  I probably have to wait till summer 09 when all things are said and done.

Well, I guess, since you're so irate about it and how eager you are to play, it's a compliment to how well the game has performed so far.

To put a positive spin on things.

It can all be attributed to the Universal and Indisputable Truth in Life: Sh*t happens.

Just a suggestion, I've noticed you only ever post in a thread of your own making.  How about post in a relevant thread that already has discussion on the matter, esspecially if it just to moan.  This sort of drivle doesn't need it's own thread.

Yeah, I'm getting sick of all the recent delays too, but what ya gonna do?

At least they're still working on stuff, and it'll be more polished when it does eventually come out.

:( but...

With the extra time we decided to include the following fixes to bugs that were recently reported:

-Fixed bug with the Vasari's Assault Specialization and Weapon Jamming.

-Fixed bug with Mini-Underground window potentially putting bounty or yourself.

-Antorak Marauder:
 Distort Gravity:
 - duration increased from 20s to 30s at all levels
 - its Phase Jump Inhibitor immunity benefit now affects all friendly ships rather than just the Marauder
 - Phase Jump Inhibitor immunity should now work in all circumstances

Good old times when people saw delays as sign of quality products.

Blair,

Did you ever look into the A.I. not making superweapons?

Well, at least IC are still working on the game, instead of "LAWL let's just release it with all these bugs and just make a sequel that'll fix maybe 4 of them!  LOL"

More and more I see lazy developers come out with more crappy games that need so many patches and fixes just to make their game playable.  You know, if developers did that back in the days of the SNES, they would be laughed out of town!  If you were to release a game back then it better have all the bugs fixed, otherwise it just wouldn't sell!

In today's world, more games are more complex, and that leaves room for more errors.  Yes, Sins has bugs, but their game is pretty clean compared to the many other games out there.  "But you haev to make room for pc specs that are teh different LOL"  Yes, PC's are different, and that's where bugs come up, but again, at least this game is still being worked on.  I'll take a game that gets fixed based on user feedback instead of some conglomerate giant that fixes maybe 3 bugs.

You shouldn't complain about the update being delayed.  It's free to all of us, so why are you moaning and groaning about it?  I'll take a late update instead of none at all.

Blair,

Did you ever look into the A.I. not making superweapons?

Yes, but its part of the new AI code in Entrenchment. It was too fundamental a change to integrate into the main Sins branch (which 1.1 is spawned from). I would have included it for free in the 1.1 patch but porting it to that branch would have been near impossible considering the overhaul Entrenchment is receiving. Much of the structure building, defending and attacking AI code had to be completely redone to handle all the new toys, new strategies and new tactics.

Okay, so basically what you're saying is that those of us who've grown comfortable enough with 9 Unfair AIs will promptly get our butts kicked in Entrenchment?

Mommy!

Oh, well, that's some good work.  Thanks, I am happy for now.  It's just that I have waited for the 1.1 patch forever, so I was really pissed, when I waked up around 1:00 A.M. and saw the headline.  Entrenchment beta is coming out the same time or soon after 1.1 patch, right?

We've decided to stop giving release dates - that way we won't needlessly piss anyone off when we need to delay.
