I am having same problem, same version and build, i live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, ive tried using both the city and area code, but neither are working.
have you checked your firewall setting to make sure objectdock is allowed?
Yes, when i originally installed it the weather was working properly, then it stopped yesterday.
I have the same problem with ObjectDock Plus - "Internet not available." Liers!
It's been working fine until this morning and has been out of order for 12h by now.
I am not a lamer ![]()
Firewall is O.K. Same problem like jebro... with + version...
I own the "non-free" version of Object Dock, and it is behaving exactly the same way. I believe that the vendor/developer (Stardock/???) included a hard coded Internet address or DNS name in the product(s) and the information service provider (AccuWeather) has changed the way they distribute the information needed, or just plain blocked access from this product. The "Internet Not Available" message started in the last day or so.
Accordingly, this begs the question, when will Stardock address this issue with a FREE update for the Weather docklet?
Cheers,
Gregg Rasor
Yeah, my weather docklet stopped working too, last night I noticed it had gone off. Do you think it's a server problem?
Works fine here. 83404
Just put another one in another dock: works fine.
You can download and install the XML weather docklet. It doesn't cascade the weather for the week, though, but at least it works. It's something with the docklet as the XML works fine. I saved the .dll for the old one in case it ever gets resolved.
I'm having the same problem--worked fine until yesterday afternoon (11/16/08). I created a new dock and put in a new weather docklet--still no go.
Using ObjectDock Plus (paid version) on Vista 32.
Has anyone been able to determine exactly what the problem is? It's got to be something with the docklet itself if this many people are having issues. Most of us aren't newbies and it's not a firewall issue. It was working fine up until today.
Support is aware. See here: OD Net issues
There are some people who seem NOT to be having the problem, Please try to respect each other. ![]()

fix coming soon
Fixed!! (Server-side fix)
Weather docklet stopped working last week on April 14th (internet not available error message). Had worked fine up until that point. Vista 64. I have tried clearing internet cookies and temp files and uninstalling and reinstalling objectdock. Still doesn't work as of today.
Please see reply #31 in this thread. LINK
I thought I had covered all of the Weather Docklet threads, apparently not.
Weather docklet stopped working on April 15, 2009 and hasn't worked since. It worked fine before that. Vista 64. I have tried clearing internet temp files and cookies. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Objectdock. Still not working.
*sigh* Why do everyone with this problem dig up some ancient thread about it when there are perfectly fine, more recent ones available? ![]()
I'll save you the trouble of browsing for the other threads... try this:
(From another thread)
Download this replacement stardockweather.ocx file:
http://sd.stardock.com/ken/stardockweather.ocx
and save it to your ObjectDock install folder (C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock). Open up ObjectDock and check the weather docklet. This may not work for everyone as it is a temporary workaround.
i had the issue with my weather not working for like 2 weeks...i used the fix from the other thread and VIOLA
im back in buisness
I have the ObkectDock version 2 paid version and my weather object does not work either. Tried the fix in reply #20 but did not work either. I removed the icon and readded it, but still did not work.
How did you re-add the weather docklet? The reason I ask is because ObjectDock Plus v2 beta doesn't have the UI element for adding the weather docklet.
