I need help!!

I just got the demo and how do you end turns? At the beginning, whenever all my moves were used up, it would go to the next month, but now, it just sits there and noone has any moves. When I hit that little Turn button at the bottom, a little clock comes. At first I thought it was the AI moving and stuff but even on the tiniest map, with only one other computer AI, it just won't go. And I've reinstalled the demo :( I wanna buy the full version, but not if it's gonna do this.

I've never played the demo, so I can't say whether its a bug or not.

What I can tell you though is if a bug like that ever surfaced in the full version (I've owned the full game for a while now and haven't experienced anything similar), it would get steamrolled by the countless patches and updates the support staff for GalCiv put out.

Ah that old chestnut. This seems to be a common problem. It's happened to me a couple of times, a shutdown and restart cleared it up once and another time I had to go back to a previous autosave. Because of this I set the autosave to every 2 turns, just in case.

Cari-elf, one of the developers, said something about checking to see if the game was waiting for some input from you- such as choosing a planet to colonise. Give those a go, and report back! Good Luck! ;)

Well, I'm at my dads house, like I am every weekend, and I downloaded the demo here. No problem at all. Soon as all my moves are used up, it goes to the next month. And at my house, I've restarted/shut down several times, but the same thing happens after like the first 2 or 3 months into the game :(

Check IF some screen is waiting for your input. If you hit the next turn button before you answered everything it expects you to answer, it just waits untill you do so.

I once had it. Then I noticed that I a colonyship moved in a star and it waited for me to select a planet or klick on the space to move it out of the star.

But I don't think that's the same thing as #0 meant because it was too fast to find were the mistake was.

In the full version, under options you can set autoturns to manuel. That requires you to hit enter or use the button to end a turn.

Also, It is waiting for you to do somehting. The most common is a colony ship made it to a system and you haven't told it which planet to colonize.

This is going to sound really weird, but there was another post from someone else with this problem and it actually went away when he updated his video card drivers.

But the usual cause is that the game is waiting for input from you. If you've been viewing completion events and you hit turn, it will sometimes stick and you have to go open the planet data screen and close it again to get it to finish the turn.
