Oh Boy...More Shitty History Movies...

Not Again...

Well, I can't believe they're making another one of these damn things....first Troy and then some other crap related to Troy and the Greeks....and now....get ready....here it comes....another "blockbuster"......ok.....deep breath.....the new movie coming to theaters soon....sure to be kick ass....Alexander!....AH! Can you feel the excitement?....Man, I can't freakin' wait....more history movies?...YES PLEASE! Historical inaccuracies and dumbass romances!...Whew, that's going to be so awesome!....Really, I just can't wait to see my history books shit on again.....C'mon guys, can't they just give up? Damn, I hate Hollywood so damn much.....I mean, you can only suck a teat for so long until it runs dry.....

Any thoughts, my faithful cult...er, readers?

Good call on the romances. I'm sure in Ancient Greece, Rome, and Western Europe there were camera crews filming sex scenes of the most malevolent dictators.

There were supposed to be two Alexander pics coming out. One with Angelina Jolie and....name has escaped me (colin farrel?) and the other directed by Baz Luhman with Nicole Kidman and Leonardo diCrapio (sorry diCaprio) - but I don't know if it's still in production since the first one is finished and soon to be released.

Some of the History movies were good - Saving Private Ryan for one - we went to see that for grade 10 history
They like to take alot of artistic licence - I haven't seen Troy but since they took out the whole Athena/Aphrodite/Hera thing - the point of the war in the first place I don't think I will.

I think that all historical movies should have to pass the "A Bridge Too Far" test.... very accurate with a great set of actors and no CGI

I've seen previews for the new Alexander movie. Actually it looks pretty good from what I've seen. Trust me, I am not a fan of history of all, but when something like that looks good to me, then chances are it probably will be.

Yeah, Helen of Troy looked good too....but, for the most part it sucked ass.....too much non-historical/mythological bullshit.....if it stuck to the actual events or at least the stuff described by Homer...than I would at least appreciate it.

I think I am with you on this one. I am a huge history buff but I am not a fan of what hollyweird does to it.

bleh, its like taking a story such as Pocahontas and turning it into a sex scene! don't cha hate that? ruining a perfectly tame piece of history turned up into a series of drama and sex. one of my pet peeves....
