Gamers for the press

Sign up here

Hi guys,

The media often requests we point them to some gamers who are well spoken and who are familiar with Stardock's games to talk to.

If you are interested in being interviewed by the press and such on the game industry and about Stardock's games, respond here.

Thanks!

Do I need to write a resume?

Can they deal with unusual times based on class and work?

Can they help me hide when Eets comes calling?

I'd be willing to offer some views from across the pond. ;)

I would like to be considered.

Thank you,

Sure,

I would be delighted to talk to the press.

Can I have early access to Elemental if I do?

I'm game.

"The media often requests we point them to some gamers" - I can imagine the sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when you think of random gamer's quotes getting attributed to Stardock.

I'd love to do anything to help, I've loved stardock ever since I got galciv 2 (and I bought that and sins on sheer principle because of your DRM stance). I'll even remain from asking for early versions of elemental for a few seconds. I'll even try to stay interesting when I decide to wax prosaic.

Can they help me hide when Eets comes calling?

Stardock != witness protection program. Just find a mob boss to snitch on. :P

I don't think they'd be interested in the opinions of a 37 year old geek from germany but if they are you can send 'em here. ;)

I'm sorry, but I don't think they realize you exist, too old, you know.

I would indeed love to talk to someone about the amasing games Stardock makes. I've been a huge supporter of Stardock since Gal Civ I came out, and I wholeheartidly support the Gamer's Bill of Rights. I've always said Stardock is an inspiration in PC Gaming. Again, it would be an honor to talk to someone about one of the greatest companies in PC Gaming.

I've been with Stardock since the os/2 galciv days.

Maybe I'm a little too old, but I'd be more than happy to.

I wouldn't mind doing this at all but it depends on what exactly we would be required to do.

@Frogboy - Sign me up. I have been a SD customer since you started SD. Hell I vaguely remember you on Usenet talking about starting SD and preaching the goodness of OS2 as well as talking about some space game idea you had. Additionally I always pimp SD every chance I get on other forums; from gamer sites to business ones and beyond.

As long as I don't have to make pink space ponies jokes I'm game. ;)

Aaah, but they're so much fun!

Sure. :)

Since you didn't ask for contact information, I assume you'd just be forwarding them our e-mail addresses from our profiles?

I have preordered and played this game since beta two a year ago.

Seriously?! I could've sworn you were on the forum in beta one... Odd.

...on second thought... maybe I want them to come on in...

And I'm all up for them going in as long as you're also there, keep you distracted :P .

Also, how the hell could you have given a 10 to the sound without the advent voices, which are some of the most astoundingly characterful voice effects I've heard in a videogame? I guess it's just hindsight on my end :-| .

eat that!

you mean eet that!? No thanks, I don't eet things.

I've really only played DA and ToA, and I didn't much care for the Sins demo (ironically for the same reason I hated the DL demo), but I wouldn't mind trading emails with the press. No talking, though; phones scare me. :X

I'm in.

Whether it be from a computer gaming perspective, a software development perspective, a client relations perspective, or just a plain, "These games are fun and the company actually values transparency in dealing with its customers", I'm happy to chime in.

So long as nobody asks me too many questions about Midkemia, because it's been too long since I read any of those books...  :)

Well, I've been a big Stardock fan since GC1, so I'll be happy to remind the press that they need to say more good things about Stardock ;)
