Thus those with the lower numbers have done the time and can be assumed to know what they are talking about.
Not necessarily; those numbers are tied to our SD accounts -- someone with a low number like 5421 might have bought GC when it first came out, but never been on the forums before.

Nope.  Very much tied to forum membership.

Then there are account mergers and lost emails that also contribute to a lage member number. Trust me - I found out the the hard way on both accounts.

:annoyed:

Back on topic: The list is updated. I even put in trailer links as well as FAQs. :fuzzy:

Thanks for the explanation, Zubaz.  I suppose one could look at a poster's karma to determine how likely it is that person has something useful to say.  I'd still love to have a location to visit where I could see all the SD employee's responses in case I missed a critical bit of info somewhere.

Being a moderator can be very limiting to what you might WANT to say in a situation.  That whole "being moderate" thing can suck.

Ahh, I remember once I was talking to Blair (Fraser) and we were joking about him living vicariously through my less-than-diplomatic posts since he couldn't do that :P

Yeah, being a moderator isn't always what's it's cracked up to be. Being a regular poster you can can go quite far without breaking forum rules, but moderators have it worse! But at the same time, 'least you get a shiny status symbol to compensate :)

And you can do thread management which is a sorely needed thing around here [SD forums].

Most things are minor housekeeping such as redundant threads or similar topics -etc.. nothing really worth the time to organize into a nice report to send to you to take action on -yet. On a side note it would be nice to see sub-forums for the races with subs for the factions (as they are revealed of course) and maybe one for mods set up.

By the way Zubaz, I haven't seen you in #elemental anymore, or are you gone by the time I get back from work? :P

.. since this thread didn't get derailed enough yet.

You know, going all the way to Obama sounds a bit too extreme...

off-topics can be some of the most interesting threads. ;)

But on the other hand, think of how much pull Stardock would be able to have with other publishers on things like DRM, Impulse, etc if the President got addicted to their games and became a lifelong supporter?

.... not so lame now, is it? Grand conspiracy material, I tell ye.

No doubt. Frogboy for Secretary of Gaming

If the president became a life-long supporter of stardock and elemental.... well, I'd be pretty happy!    My biggest fear with our new president is that in the past he has rallied on the side of anti-gamers.

Someday...

It will happen and within the next 20 years to be sure. The keyboard generation will be coming into power around 2025.

That's odd, becuase while I signed up for an SD account (to get the GalCiv patch), I never signed up for a forum membership!

List updated. Please note I added a "related" section. The link in it is worthy of a read for sure.

Additionally, I have found stories about EWoM on sites in over 30 languages! I would want to do the localization work for EWoM!!

A suggestion spartan, in the future when you add things, adding dates to it would make it easier to get an overview of things :)

No doubt. I figured the visited link color was a quick and fast way to tell if one read the story already. Moreover I dont want to steal Island Dog's job.
