The Boston Red Sox finally beat the curse and won their first World Series since 1918. Who would have thought that Boston would come back to win it all when they were down in the Yankee series three games to none? Who would have thought that the Red Sox would be able to sweep the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series and on top of that winning their last game with a shut out? This will be the first World Series in 5 years that a team has been able to sweep. The New York Yankees did it to the Alanta Braves in 1999. Who would have thought....
I was on a plane last night flying home from Boston during the game. The Captain was nice enough to get updates from the Air Traffic Controllers every half inning. I got home in time to see the last two innings.
