Well, it looks like Obama is winning pretty handedly thus far. I guess this means I will not be purchasing any future games for myself...they will all go to the less fortunate gamers out there. So, let me know what ya'll want because I'm buy'n.

I don't have it. The interface is too obviously designed for consoles. If I want to shoot someone's leg off, I'll do it with my own gun, not some stupid device that stops time and automagically aims for me. I know I don't have to use that feature, but it's the principle of the thing. Also, I'm more of a hardcore gamer, and the FPS part (which is the main reason I'd buy it, seeing as I'm not a big fan of RPGs) don't seem developed enough to match more hardcore games. I'm perfectly fine with my current FPSs: Crysis, Half-Life 2, and two dozen or so mods for Half-Life 2.
Also, in response to the OP: I'll take Fallout 3, please.
VATS has nothing to do with consoles, but rather it's a concession to those who prefer the turn-based combat of the originals.

I'm loving Fallout 3. First time since Vampire the Bloodlines that I am finding myself really sucked in by a RPG, and that was 4 years ago now.

it's a weak attempt to mix FPS and turn based games. And it fails in both ways.

How can you possibly complain about VATS? Have you even used it? I thought it would suck too, but now I've used it and it's awesome.
I have no idea what's going on here, but I'm never one to turn down free stuff, even if said free stuff doesn't actually exist. In light of this, put me down for Disgaea DS and Alan Wake. I can play the former while waiting for your time machine to return with the latter.
The OP is making fun of the ridiculous "Obama is a socialist/Marxist/communist" nonsense that started up in recent weeks. He's saying that, because Obama won, he'll buy games, but they will be "redistributed" to "less-fortunate" gamers.
Oh, okay. But then, shouldn't the games just be confiscated and redistributed directly from the inventories of the publishers?
+1 to what Kryo said, but also: the principle of what thing? Choice? As you noted, you can choose not to use it, so I fail to see how there's a principle involved there.
Hold on now, I looked into this and you only have to give away free games if you buy more than 250 a year.....
