I think this is one of the saddest posts I've read about Obama's election anywhere. 

For the first time in three elections, there is no suspicion that the will of the electorate has been interfered with by the Supreme Court or election fraud.  The sanctity of the Constitution of the United States has once again been recognized - indeed, the president-elect taught Constitutional Law at the college level.  Unlike our lame-duck president, Obama and the Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress have a clear mandate from the people to move this country out of the moral, political, ethical, and economic ditches that the Republicans have driven us into.  With this one election, the credibility of the United States as a country in which all things are possible has been restored.  The world doesn't hate us or think of us as stupid any more.  Obama's ideas for cleaning up the Bush/Republican mess are numerous and specific.  An empty suit he is not.

So what did we get in this post?  Obama has "no real identity" except that "he is mostly Arab".  The first is an uninformed opinion, which is no surprise because the hallmark of a good Republican seems to be ignorance (the term "low information voter" was, after all, invented by Republican political operatives to describe the people whose votes they were going after), while the second has no basis in fact.  A so-called Christian has simply borne false witness against her neighbor, without hesitation or compunction.  This is "Christianity of convenience", sort of like that practiced by Anita Bryant back in the day.  I'll always remember with pleasure the day Ms. Bryant had to admit that she had never read the whole Bible.

Let's see, Obama's approval rating right now is 70% nationally, and this election has marked what pretty much the whole world regards as a great step forward that could only have happened in the United States.  The Republicans got their collective butts kicked.  Their candidate had no solutions to the problems Bush got us into, his running mate was Dan Quayle in a dress (apparently bought from Neiman Marcus), and the majority of states that voted Republican are the "welfare" states that receive more federal tax dollars than they pay in taxes.  Oh, the majority of states that voted Republican are also left over from the old Confederacy.  You know, the states that thought slavery was okay, and where schools had to be desegregated at the point of an American soldier's bayonet.

I hope all you terrified, disaffected Republicans pay attention to where the country is now, thanks to your boy Bush.  In four years the country (and you) will be a lot better off.

Its funny because republicans say that the whole world is wrong.  All these other countries are wrong and they are right.  But when Obama wins the whole world rejoices at the chance for true freedom and cooperation among the worlds counties again.  Maybe just maybe the republicans could be wrong as most people elsewhere and now many who have seen the light here thinks they are?????

Bush/gore 2000 there was plenty of proof that jeb did some pretty shady stuff but we'll just sweep that under the rug.  Fact is that there are low qaulity people on both side that will do anything to win.  I wonder if you will admit that DRGUY or are all conservatives totally truthful all the of the time?

We are in some ways, we are all people and we all have reason and common sense and the ability to ell right from wrong(most of us do anyway).  Usually if you take some type of action say for example you were to sue someone for damage to your house and you tell your story to 10 of your friends(whom you trust to be honest to you).  Then 9 of them, after hearing your story tell you that you shouldnt, that you dont really have a case.  Would you say screw you to those 9 and just listen to the 1?  If you did most likely you would lose your case because a jury is made up of a selection of your peers(meaning that most people would probably feel as your 9 firends did).  Its the same with nations because nations are people and if so many of them say to us that what Bush is doing is adversely affecting the world, then maybe we should at least listen to them rather than telling them to go spit as they say.

There was NO PROOF.  A lot of allegations (see previous response) but not a shred of evidence.  Nor will you find any on a site other than the kook fringe.

Truthful?  I have not touched on that issue, and it does not appear to be related to the discussion.  If you like, I will freely admit that honest politician is an oxymoron.

And going further we are the same as amoebas.  But then you can take anything to an extreme.  But America is not (note the use as a pronoun) is not like any other countries (just as it would be very difficult to find 2 countries identical anywhere else in the world).  For the most part, our system has not been exported.  Mostly the european system (thanks a lot to the imperialism of Europe from about the 15th century until the late 20th).

And like people, no 2 are identical.  If you try to make America like Europe (I know, not a country, but I am speaking of the collection over there that share a history), then you only ruin what is America.  Liberals do not understand that.  They think that we are all square pegs, but unfortunately there are a lot of round holes out there.

As you have said to me I now say to you.  Cherry picking, you wont deal with my example.  But I will deal with yours.  Obviously we are different countries and have different needs, just like people we are all different but in the end have the same gols generally.  Lead a good life and be productive in whatever you do.  Same goes for nations.  But if the vast majority are not in agreement with you, and they are rational people or allies, then dont you think maybe just maybe our leaderships or brain might be on the wrong side?

This is not true  we understand we are all different but we ahve many things in common.

I get that but what you sound to be saying is that we should never listen to our friends no matter what.  Screw them and do what we want all the time no matter what.  That isnt right that is not a civilized society like we claim to be.  That is not a compassionate society either.  That is a society that dictates to others.  Kinda like Stalin did, or Hitler did. Now dont go all ape over that comment like I know you would.  I am not saying we are hitlers or stalins but I am saying that that is one of the types of things they did.  Do we really want to draw any kind of comparison with them at all?
