Preorder With Paypal

I want to preorder but I only can use Paypal, will there be anyway to preorder with paypal?

No. Stardock has a policy to not charge until they send out the serials, but Paypal charges right away. So, not compatible :P

We can't do pre-orders with paypal because we do not charge them until a beta version is available.  PayPal requires you receive your purchased item within something like 30 days of making the purchase, and we can't deliver a beta version in a month  ;)

It's annoying, I know.  What we normally do is when a beta phase starts, we have a week or two period where anyone who preorders during it will get instant access to the beta.  During that week or two we accept PayPal payments.

If you install the paypal plug in you can generate a 1 time virtual credit card which is tied to your paypal acct. You could then use that to pre-order the game. Stardock processes it as a credit card transaction but it really just goes to your paypal acct.

It still won't be charged until the beta, and unless paypal logs all the numbers so they're good permanently (highly doubtful), the transaction will fail when the time comes to charge it.

It would be good until it expires, which is like 90 days on a 1 time use number. If 90 days isn't long enough, it can be set to a multiple use virtual credit card which has an expiration date of 1 year.

It'll be somewhere around 8 months from now till the beta, by current estimates, so the latter might work.

It would be nice if that would get a news entry on the main site.

I'm limited to paypal too and would really dislike to miss that short window of opportunity because I didnt read the forum for a week or two.

Don't worry it will be shouted from the roof tops all over that NOW is the time to purchase to get into the beta (when you must pay with pay pal).

Just because we have rules we won't be heartless about it. :)

From past experiance, they'll even bombard your e-mail account with newsletters (this is a good thing, btw, don't stop!)
