Okay I have been wondering: How do you use mods? some mods look really cool buty I don't know how to use them! Please help

Once you have downloaded the mod, you need to put the files in (if you have Vista) C:\Users\(Your User)\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods
I have no idea what it is for XP. Once the mod is in that folder, start up the game. On the main menu, go to Options, then to Mods. Select the mod that you want to play and click Enable. The game might pause for a couple of seconds, but don't worry. After it unpauses, the mod should be ready for you to play.
Thanks for trying to help. Sadly I do not have Vista. I know XP is outdated but I just don't like how Vista is set up. Mabey I will convert eventually.

Wait, I just remembered a place that has instructions for XP. Ok, here it is for XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

Open up your left panel...start up menu!
And under search type Ironclad Games: You should get it straight away.

BTW no one is imcompetent. Everyone started at some point!
If that doesn't work, I would suggest that you enable hidden files. It should be and option somewhere in the system preferances menu.

Yes I am very happy my ninja has returned. also I have Never played World of Warcraft but I have heard of it. Isn't it a mmorpg? And there is the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Not to be confused with the Rise of the Witch King expansion.)

I can't wait for the new season! I just wish it was closer to Janurary. Or November 18th.
Back on topic: Samuryre, have you had time to instal your mods yet? Do they work?
Yes I have managed to download and install mods! Now does anybody know if there is a Seven Deadly Sins mod for 1.5? also where can I get the Star wars mod by EvilleJedi? And there is a new season of Battlestar Galactica!!? P.S. Did anybody but me notice that Entrenchment comes out on the same day as Wall-E?

Glad to see that you can install mods!
To get the latest version of 7DS, go to http://www.sri-corp.com/ or http://7-deadlysins.tk/ it doesn't matter which, they are both the same site. Then create an account. Go to the forums, and under the "Request Playtester Status HERE!" tab, create a new post asking to become a playtester. At somepoint, either DANMAN or one of the other admins will grant you playtester status, usually within a day or so. Then you will be able to download the current 7DS 2.0 "D" beta, that ONLY works with 1.05. (No 1.1 yet). Oh, and just FYI, if you do get 7DS, don't run it with your graphics settings on "Highest" The game crashes if you do.
As for EvilleJedi's Star Wars mod, go to http://warlords.swrebellion.com/wp/ Although, just so you know, right now it only has a very unbalanced Empire to play as, no Rebels. Also, the current 7DS has a playable Empire that is a lot more balanced, so might just want to get that until the Star Wars mod is updated.
And yes, there is a new season of BSG. It starts in Janurary sometime. The new one picks up where season 4 ended and is the last season of BSG EVER! Although there a rumors that there is going to be at least one more movie and possibly a spin off series about life on Caprica before the Cylon attacks.
And do you mean the Wall-E DVD? I did not know that. I was too excited about Entrenchment to notice anything else.

Okay thanks. I will try to get the seven deadly sins mod ASAP. I do know that the Star wars mod has only the empire but it is nice to know where to get it so tht when a better version comes out I will know where to get it.
Yes I mean the Wall-E DVD. I also did not know that it was coming out on the 18th, so when I saw the sign I thought "Isn't that the day entrenchment comes out?" The expansion has eclipsed everything for me too.

Well, unfortunetly, Entrenchment will no longer be on the 18th. Some unspecified date in the future is the new release date. Oh, well, I still plan to get in on the beta.
Yeah I just read the article. Sad. Oh, I went to the warlords site so now where do I go? Do I go to Downloads? If so what do I download?

You don't need to go to the downloads section. On the page I linked you to, scroll down a little until you see a post called " SOGE: inital test release" The first thing under that heading should say something along the lines of "grab the beta release here" Just click on the hyperlinked "here" (or rightclick, can't remember which you have to do)
