I know some fellows might get a bit uneasy but in my personal view this is really a bad .. in simple words shameful. Stardock/WC stuff has been pirated since ages and they could have done that too but they refused to bow to those nasty freaks and it is one the reasons that made me to love sd/wc guys.

You must be talking about me Neil right? Since you posted that after my comment. But let's not talk about how its not nice to lie about a company in the title of the post. To defame. Let's just make sure no one gets their feelings hurt. We wouldn't want that to happen.

My post was directed to everyone who has posted on this thread (and those are considering doing so).  This is the kind of thread that can get out of control very quickly and I would prefer if we avoided that.

As for the subject, its not up to me to control that, but I will make sure it is raised with those who can make a decision on that.

You're right this type of thread can get out of control. The point is, it should never been allowed to stay up. The title is libelous. Wait, let me rephrase this, it should be allowed to stay up with a proper, non-libelous title. The topic/conversation is legitimate. The title that everyone on the index page of this site sees is not. Because it is stated as fact. When it's not.

However, I don't mind the conversation. I did what's best for my company in this situation. And will do it again given the same circumstances. They've stopped posting our work in the front of their forums. I don't care what they do in the shadow forums Dog, I just don't want it front and center so everyone can just go and steal it. This isn't much different than what the Movie Studios and even Microsoft does. China doesn't pay 20 USD for a movie from the studio, they pay much less. The people that go to this site are not looking to buy something. So why not make the real thing more attractive to them so maybe they do? Now i don't have to sit there and send cease and desist letters to them. It's nice. Meanwhile Stardocks MyColors themes are all over that place but you don't see any Hyperdesk themes.

Oh and I retract my statement calling BX an idiot. He's really a hero. For going to that bad, bad place and doing "recon". We all know he wasn't there for the free applications, movies and MyColors themes... he was there to protect Stardock IP and truth, justice and the American way. I'm getting a little choked up now. I think I have to go. It's getting hard to type through my watery (but not itchy) eyes.

I don't care what you do on outside forums, Jeff.  It's your perogative, go for it.  However, please don't sit there and they say Mycolors themes are all over the place and hyperdesk themes aren't, that is just ridiculous.  Everyone deals with piracy in different way, and everyone will have their own opinion about it.

As it has already spawned personal attacks, then I'm going to leave it at that.

I have re-titled the topic as the OP is posting an *opinion*.

My personal opinion is that the themes in question are property of TSF and NOT of "the community". They are free to sell them in whatever way they see fit.
