GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. - A woman refused Halloween candy to children whose parents support Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Shirley Nagel passed out candy Friday on the scary U.S. holiday, but only to those who shared her support for Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his vice presidential pick Sarah Palin.

Television station WJBK reported that a sign posted outside Nagel's house in suburban Detroit served this notice to children seeking treats: "No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters."

Nagel told WJBK that "Obama's scary." When asked about children who were turned away empty-handed and crying, she said: "Oh well. Everybody has a choice."

For her to punish children for what thei parents believe or support, that is not just wrong, that is the ultimate act of cowardace.

Punish children? How? Trick or treating is legalised blackmail/extortion, you're basically saying 'give me some of your stuff or else'. So that woman was really just rewarding children who shared her (political) views - why should she have to give it to people who she doesn't want to? I mean it's not like she wouldn't have earnt that candy, it was hers to do with as she wished.

Fine, but did she have to be so blatent about it?!? I mean come on, who died and made her "The Candy Nazi" anyway? How did it go at her house? What, were the kids all lined up at her porch like the soup line in Sienfeld?

"Your parents vote for McCain?"

"Fine, here, have Snickers bar. NEXT!!!!"

The next kid walks up...

"Hi, I'm six, my parents are voting for John McCain because he's going to make things better for..."

"Yeah yeah yeah whatever kid, here, here have a Kit Kat or a Twix. Whatever okay, NEXT!!!"

The next kid walks up...

"And who your parents voting for?"

"Obama"

The Candy Nazi smiles.

"Obama?"

"Uh huh."

"NO CANDY FOR YOU!!!"
