Should the LA Times Release the Obama/Khalidi Tape?

The LA Times, a very liberal newspaper, has a copy of a tape of Obama and another terrorist supporter (how surprising) Khalidi.  There is already a $175,000 reward for the tape, and supposedly it's very damaging to Obama.

The LA Times is refusing to release the tape, and the demand for them to release it is quickly growing.  Of course, if this was McCain or Palin, it would never have been released, it would have been placed everywhere, but once again the media is covering for Obama.

We have someone running for President who is an unkonwn.  He has a shady past, with several instances of "missing time" that he will not account for.  We need to know more about this man.  We need to see this video!

Well, if witholding this video without arguing against it does not make people wonder, then I say let Obama win and let people get what they deserve. I hear Mexico is nice during January.

Khalidi is no terrorist supporter, but someone who is (very) sympathetic to the Palestinian cause.

If you want proof that he is no terrorist, look to the money McCain (rightly) approved as part of his Senate commision work to Khalidi's organization.

Furthermore the tape is withholden because the person who provided the LATimes with the tape requested it. So the LATimes is just keeping its word.

Case closed.

Then why doesn't hew come forward to clear it up? If he supports the PLO fine, other in the US do as well. Don't you think the voter has the right know Obama's associations? Heck it might even push some undecided Muslims to vote for him. Do most of Americans have to wait until he's president to learn what he real is all about?

You know what, associasions are important, you're right. So let's put it out there who is really associated with Khalidi....

John McCain is associated with Khalidi, and there is a money trail.

Obama may have only been in the same room with Khalidi. But in the 1990's when McCain was the Chairman of the International republican Institute, that organization gave $448,873.00 to the Center for Palestine Research and Studies which was co-founded by Khalidi.

Sarah Palin has said on numerous occations in the past week that Khalidi has ties to the PLO.

Well by using that logic, then John McCain has funded a terrorist orginazation. If Obama's being in the same room with Khalidi means he's "palling around with terrorists", then what does that make John McCain?

John McCain is the money man for the PLO.

 

 

Now, you see how these Rovian politics work?

if there is nothing damaging on the tape, then why doesn't Obama make a very public request to release the tape? he has nothing to hide, right?

PS. I ask that on all accusations, made of mccain or obama... I have yet to see damning evidence against mccain, but i have seen against obama (among many fakes attributed to obama unjustly. Which if anything is hurting the cause because of it)...

The sheer rumor of a tape is ennough to hurt Obama, because if LA Times denies the existence of such tape, many people will simply say it got destroyed, and LA is actively pro-Obama. It's a simple ploy where your target is in a lose-lose situation.

Not by conservatives - by the LA Times.  I think they enjoy the spotlight (as they get 3rd string behind the NY times and washington post).  YOu could be right, but if it was conservatives, the LA times would not be saying they cant release it - only that they did not have it.  If they denied it existed - yes, it would look like a VWRC issue.

Well if you google John McCain Rashid Khalidi you get a lot of results detailing their "relationship".

personally, id like to see what tipped everybody off to the tape in the 1st place. sure LA could have denied its existance to protect Obama, but since they didnt, they are getting all kinds of publicity.

One of the biggest problem with the ideological schism in America right now is that everybody see his own news source as "moderate and true" while he sees the other's as "propaganda". Doc, you can't win this one, nor can he.
