In some ways it reminds me of Windows 3.1? not sure it has been a while, amazing how much we forget as technology moves forward, one thing i never forgot what and is the best DOS, i always loved it, taught my children on it in the late 80's and early 90's oh i just had to reminice a little bit when i saw fences, and by the way i do like very much, and cant wait for the release

The post gives the impression that Fences is now available by public release. Is that the case? How/where do we download it to give it a try? Looks cool!

You know, this is much MUCH cooler than I thought it would be!  The double click on screen to make them go away and come back sells this as far as I am concerned.  That's just intuitive!

The DesktopDockUI program crashes on launch for me (primary monitor), but the program still works as expected.  I'll try and track the bug down.  Right now, I'm using Vista 64 Ultimate, with three monitors, two display adapters, with the 180.43 beta drivers.  I'm also beta testing Nimi but the settings program seems to crash either way.  I'm running WindowBlinds (Wraith skin), multiplicity pro, and object dock plus, etc.  but unloading those programs seems to make no difference.

This machine has not been updated to SP2 beta yet.

Great bug report!

Thank you, sir.  Been doing them for a long time, haha.  I have managed to duplicate this bug with all of these programs gone, so it's probably either a 180,43 driver, dual graphics card, or Vista 64 related bug.

BTW, I am REALLY liking this program more and more every day.  One thing that isn't emphasized enough I think is how Fences even lets you get around the Windows Desktop grid snap.  By creating a fence, putting icons in it, they get arranged quite nicely, but THEN you can drag the Fence around and really place it EXACTLY where you want it.  This has made my three monitor desktop look and feel MUCH cleaner.

Well done code master.  :)

PS The only thing I find myself wanting to do is double click on the title for a fence to see it "roll-up" or disappear.  In other words, a mini hide for just that fence, where double-clicking (single clicking?) the title/name causes the Fence to open or close like say a folder would.  This is mostly because I would like some of my fences open/visible all the time, and others sleeping until needed.  Exclude from Quick-Hide covers this sort of, just differently.  I'll try and get the zen of that.
