I'm editing my custom candidate's traits to max out a few of them (because quite frankly, the game is either insanely rigged against democrats, as virtually every state starts out with a 30/50 advantage for them, or I'm doing something wrong), but these changes don't show up in game.

 

What the hell's wrong?

Nevermind, I found the problem.

 

Note to people: Make a copy of your custom character, but DO NOT KEEP IT IN THE SAME FOLDER.  Apparently this issue was being caused by me keeping a copy of my custom character's stats right alongside the edited version.
