Creating a metaverse account

When I try to create an account, I get to the

screen. I then try to add a character, and when I type a name of > 4 characters I get a message that I am using disallowed characters. I am only using letters and numbers, and I am NOT copying and pasting.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Interesting; when I tried the link above in FF3, it asked me to log in again even though I've already been looking at my MV profile this morning b/c I just posted a game.

I signed in and had no problems typing more than 4 characters new name.

The last time I saw something like you describe, I was trying to use a newer version of Opera to sign in to a business site I've used for years. The forums seem to prefer FireFox to other browsers (alas). Could that be your problem?

I'm using FF3.

If Kryo doesn't pop in with a suggestion, I'd suggest trying [email protected].

Do you also have a valid serial entered? I think there might have been some issue with incorrect error messages in the past.

THanks - in the end that was it.

I'm having the same problem creating a metaverse account that SW is encountering. I will try to see if the valid serial number is the problem. However, I am also having the same issue with "valid serial numbers" when it comes to downloading updated versions of GCII from impulse so I don't know.

I had a similar problem today.  Typed my serial number from the CD over and over in the Metaverse Characters thing.

Then I went to Impulse and registered my game there.  Everything worked after that.

So wait, where do you go to impulse to register your Cd's serial numbers? I'm hoping that that will work by registering my serial numbers via Impulse. However as I said earlier Impulse refuses to accept my serial numbers when I try to download the new game versions.

In other words, if you go to Impulse and register your Serial numbers there, the multiverse account setup will recognize your serial numbers as valid?

You can access the registrations screen in Impulse through the key icon in the top right corner.

I'm having a few similar problems creating a Metaverse character.  Initially I wasn't adding a serial number, however I'm now entering my Endless Universe serial and it won't accept it - the message says that either serial isn't valid or isn't registered, however when I follow the link to register it, the registration page won't accept the serial (my original Dread Lords serial was there already).

I can't get Endless Universe registered through Impulse either, so is there anyway for me to create a Metaverse character?

actually, nevermind.  Just managed to create one with my DL serial and it works in Endless Universe as well :)

GC2EU is not currently supported in Impulse.

I finally was able to create a metaverse account and solve the problem with the impulse updates.
