I'm gonna send Blair a shaver so he doesn't have to beg people to buy his game :P

I am curious about the closing words - we've been told that there will be a retail box hitting stores once all 3 are done which was more than a rumor (Zoooooombaaaaaa!).. is that not going to be the case anymore?

Good info. Shaving is over-rated, though.

Not unless he's going for the Gandalf look.

Also, when'd you guys hire your 10th? :P

Haha, well congrats on growing your team by over 10%!

So if it doesn't get bundled... why not?

And just because isn't an answer. ;)

Too low ROI for creating a boxed copy?

Just curious.

Love the new info about Starbase Logistics being a new research sink and the lack of tactical slots being a requirement for construction.  My interest is still piqued by this mysterious 'heavy construction ship' however.

Also, with the available upgrade types listed for the TEC starbase, I have to say I'm tempted to see one constructed with just trade upgrades for some mega-income gatherer purpose.

We haven't made any official announcements about a retail expansion. Right now we're focused on the micro-expansions.

well. then you might want to be a bit more careful on communication here. while forum posts are of course by no means official announcement, a response from a stardock official does seem kind of ... binding. especially, if it is issued several times. don't get me wrong, I don't mind, but contradictory information will always come back and bite you, even more so, if no reasons for them are given.

There have been rumors that they'll be combined into a single three-expansion summer pack but apparently that's not the case.

Oh well, I've interpreted that as official, but since it's not, Annatars new line should be maybe, eh? ;)

I still blame Zoomba. But yeah, can't really post that they'll be bundled anymore :P

why does that comment flash ideas of groupies, dev teams on tour with herds of screaming nerds into my mind? guess I really do have a repraved personality. :D

but then: it would interesting to see how much money the guys could with merchandise. maybe it ends up like star wars with all the extra stuff and licensing making more cash than the original product.

I want to see the pictures that they mentioned of Josie

"After being met at the door by Josie, who some of you may recall from her incredible Sins outfit at PAX"

What outfit????

Oh yes. I remember those now...

The eyes are freaky!!! Makes her look like an action figure standing in front of the game box..

Hey - there is an idea to make more money - limited edition Josie advent doll (make same size as Star Wars figures). It could come with a PAX exhabition kit - so people can recreate their own PAX pictures.... :)

With regards to bundling the micro-expansions, why not? I am not of course used to company decisions and there why's and wherefor's but a bundled 3 micro expansion in retail box... well, that may be it, the retail box. Maybe they want to keep it all digital download, and of course wtih dd there is no box and other costs associated with physical media.

Hmmmm...... but you know, there could be an IronClad box, with the stardock impulse program and some free games, perhaps trials, or some minimal cost to pay for the whole box cost thing. Of course if you wrote off the box costs as advertising, then you could give the box away and get how many new people to stardock/ironclad looking first at the freebies, but then Sins and other games at stardock?

Well... just a few ideas, dont know if they will work, but well, there it is,
