No taskbar icons after installing Harley-Davidson Classic

The title says it all, I have notaskbar icons after installing Harley-Davidson Classic MyColors.  I believe he icons are "there", but they are not viewable.  Running XP Pro SP3.  I don't see where anybody else is having trouble with the Harley theme.

What version of MyColors?

Have you rebooted since applying?

This will sound insane but-

If you use regular non-MyColors WB skins too, go into WBConfig and look at your "Fonts"/"Do you want to override the font defined by the skin?" scroll window and make sure "Allow the skin to decide on the fonts" is highlighted. If it's not, highlight it and click on "Apply changes".

That fixed a problem I'd been having with invisible systray icons in Harley, made the taskbar and systray 3 pixels taller and let the icons display.  (The systray icons would display anyway though if I stretched the taskbar up to double height.)

Thanks folks.  The system has been rebooted.  Actually, I purchased this and installed it on my brother's PC a few weeks ago.  I was on his PC the day I posted the question when I noticed his taskbar icons are gone.  This PC has Impulse on it, but not WindowBlinds.  He may have ObjectDock Plus, but that would be it.  He's not running OBjectDock Plus as he likes the Harley-Davidson Classic very much.

Sidenote: ObjectDock Plus and MyColors themes work fine together, no problem, and the Vector Black background looks pretty good with Harley :)

Ah.  Since it's not your pc, the first thing I'd do is go into MyColors, apply the standard Windows desktop, and see if the icons show then.  (I'm still not clear on which icons we're talking about - the sytray on the right next to the clock, the quick launch icons, or the application buttons across the middle.)  Maybe he's just accidently changed a standard Windows setting that needs to be re-set by right clicking on the taskbar.

Also, I see it's XPPro.  On the MyColors site I see that only 32 bit is supported on XP, so if the Pro is 64-bit that could be a problem.

Thanks and please excuse the slow reply.  I don't get out to my brother's very often.  He's running plain old 32bit XP Pro.  I think ObjectDock Plus would just confuse him, he's that bad with changes.  The systray icons (next to the clock) are what's not appearing.  Mind you, they space for them is taken up, but there's nothing to see.  I can't find any setting that fix it.

Start/ Run: type services.msc

Disable SSDP Discovery Service and Universal Plug and Play Device Host.

Re-boot

I've have been out of commission for some time, but I am now able to get back in the saddle.  Anyway, thanks, but this does not work.  The only thing that does work is firing up My Colors and re-applying the Harley Davidson Classic.  Does anybopdy have any other idea?  I did upgrade the My Colors to the latest version, by the way.

Completely guessing here, maybe he's running some odd screen resolution that MyColors is having trouble with?
