I'm sorry I cant come up with anything, could you be more specific about "Map interface" changes? Do you mean things like zooming in or out, or selecting units?

I agree with everything there entirely (except the 3-6 planets) but yeah only thing I can imagine that would make sins more enjoyable is a more realistic looking space.

Vel i dislike how unrealistic the game is. there is no real moon with diffrent shapes and there is no dwarf planets. The planetary alignment sucks and you can not say that a single star with 100  planets is a galaxy. No diffrence to planet sizes etc.

I made a map as realistic as possible of SOL and Orion.  I uploaded it to solar.filefront.com  but it is not out yet.

The name is Sol VS Orion 2VS3

The biggest thing I want with regards to Galaxy Forge is not in Galaxy Forge itself but rather the game itself.  This game desperately needs an auto-download function for custom maps, otherwise they never get played unless the map's author or a big fan persistently advertises the maps and helps the other players figure out how to install the maps.  Heck, perhaps some sort of a built-in custom map download and installation interface that players (in single or multiplayer) could use to browse and download approved custom maps held at some server would be a good idea.  (For an example of something like this, Ironclad, see the freeware game "TripleA", where the game will let you browse through custom maps stored at various URLs and then auto-download and install them.)

These are just some examples I thought of go ahead and make comments

For map revamp, I would support the ideas of

1: making ship/structure/planet scale more appropriate

2: Solar systems more realistic

         a: moons

b: 3 to 6 planets per solar system

c: planets rotate around the star making traveling between planets realistic

d: asteriods would now be belts that go all the way around the star, so there would be only mining operations and an occational giant asteriod that can be colonized but it will be very rare

3: Gas giants should be able to colonize

a: you get ship production bonuses

b: skymining which improves speed of ships and phase lane speeds
Yes, yes, and more yes.

Though I would replace 2b with 'learn the difference between star systems and galaxies.' It drives me crazy that when you zoom out, the stars turn into spiral galaxies. It's goofier than the voice acting, the 36-planet systems, and the green stars combined.
