Vue 7 is Coming

Many of us use Vue 6 for creating some breathtaking 3D scenery, and some of the best examples can be found in the gallery of Kenwas.  I got a newsletter this weekend with some more details on the upcoming Vue 7, and it looks very impressive so far.  It looks like one of the biggest changes is the product lineup, and what can be done with it.

They will be introducing Vue 7 Complete, which will have many of the most used features found in Infinite, but just not as expensive.  Also, Vue Pioneer will replace the current Easel, and will take a modular approach in which you can purpose modules to build a package with all the features of the Complete version.

It looks like some cool stuff is coming up, so I can’t wait to hear more.  Check out the newsletter here.

There are some significant improvements with the render engine as well as the various editors, terrain, atmo, etc. and some exciting new features as well.  I think everyone will be pleased with this version.

I think these guys must have made Planetside give up. Their program Terragen2, witch appears to be quite similar, has been stuck at alpha for four years now. Their website is still up but there doesn't appear to be any development going on.

I got Zbrush a few weeks ago and it's a lot of fun and more than complicated enough to keep me busy for a long while.
