I think I just bought mine. Last Thursday I went out and bought 09 G8 GT with the 6.0 liter 361 HP LS6 V8. It has 82 miles on it. Here's a quick shot of it.

My Grandmother had a '72 "Heavy Chevy" with the TJ400. She could make it MOVE and had no problems doing it.

I feel you on that one Steve!

My Grandmother's last moving violation was for Drag Racing in her '65 Mustang!

I asked her did she win, she said, I kicked his ass!

Golly those rims look like crap.  Why can't they put decent rims on cars like this.  For the price, you'd think they could throw that in.  Nice ride Monty.  Got a little scoot in there huh?

I have two dreamcars:
The realistic dream
Volvo 144 GL 1974.
I had one once. Best car I've ever had the pleasure of owning/driving.
(This is a pic of it)

The UNrealistic dream...
Volvo E1800 Estate

20 grand (at least) for one in a fairly good state.....
I'd buy one without blinking, IF I had the money!!

Pound for pound one of the best cars that money can buy Snowman!

A 25 year life expectancy on Swedish roads, translates to a car for the rest of your life on US highways.

So not only are you realistic, you're also totally practical about great engineering and safety.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I have my dream cars. My 72 Buick GS that I bought new in highschool and my 85 GMC pickup that the wife bought me when we were married.

Funny, I hardly ever drive them these days. Since I have a company car, they mostly stay covered and out of the weather.

CP...that Probe looks like an updated AMC Pacer to me.

ALMonty...love the G8...the 6.0 liter kicks ass. Turn off the traction control and put it in sport shift and it will scream.

That's a gorgeous G-Ride CarGuy!

Here's a shot of the back end, just to show you that it isn't!

That's wheel skirts, gull wing doors and a bubble canopy.  It was an '85 concept and I wanted one real bad back then.

Meantime, I am enjoyin' the ride of my new Fusion that was spawned from this design.

YeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I was running pretty much the same specs ImStein!

You got yours up to 140 and she has 150 on the speedometer running stock! And God help you if you beefed her up!

It couldn't be a '67 or a '69 either! To me 1968 was the best year for the Charger hands down!

My old girl was Burgundy with a Black vinyl top, I named her Cha-Cha! I blew her up while kickin' the hell out of a Pantera!

Oh, yes, only a 68. Though body styles were the same, the running and tail lights made the difference in her. I used to love standing outside the garage and watch her back out. There was so much torque in her that the ass end would shake as she backed out. Now I know why guys like watching women walk. ;)

Mine was a baby blue with the dark blue Mopar stripe on the front and rear, and black top. SWEET!!!!!!! Did yours have the underdash secondary start button on it? So that you had to turn the key to start, then push the button to ignite? Mine did. :andrew:

The rims look better in person then the picture.

Turn off the traction control and put it in sport shift and it will scream.

I already did that. I don't want to do it too often til the engine breaks in.

All so true about guys lookin' at a woman's ass, '68 was indeed the only year they did the round tail lighs and side markers. The front end with the hideaway headlights, the way the gas tank was situated and that killer body still make me weak at the knees.

Yep!  Cha-Cha had an under-dash kill switch, I mounted the start button underneath the shag carpet on the left side of the console next to the stick, virtually invisible.

Those doors actually slid out away from the car a bit and then back towards the rear.

The concept was tangible due to it being their best wind-tunnel design for testing wind co-efficiencies, resistance and aerodynamic drag!

The actual number (.137) was better than an F-15 Jet.   Some aspects of this car are super ugly, however, it has a certain sleek look to it.  I think with some styling adjustments, the Probe V could have been much better than what Ford actually put out as the Probe model.

Also, the Probe was almost released as the next Mustang model.  That would have been a serious mistake on the part of Ford.  Good thing it never happened.

See, I thought it was built to replace the failed EXP.

You just taught me something dude!

Here's one I like, any guesses

Looks like a chop top custom GTO, maybe a '70 - '72.

Sorta like a hardtop version of the Monkee-mobile?

:\

Modified 68 or 69 Charger would be my guess...fenders look like a Challanger though.

That is a 1969 Ford Super Cobra.  Basically started with a Fairlane body.  It does look alot like a Charger/Challenger and the front fascia screams Pontiac.  But it's all Ford.

Yep!  It did turn out to be a total disaster.

I mean even the Pinto had better success than the Probe design.

:annoyed:

That's what I was looking at Steve.

And I wouldn't say a Super Cobra whilst this Frankenstein's Monster is more like a damn Anaconda either!

A friggin Fairlane body, who would'a thought!

Tis a beauty though Dawg...

XD

forgot that one...i had a 67 Fairlane 500 with a 390 & 4 speed manual...kept it for about 6 months.....added air shocks, headers, holley 650 w/high rise, a set of Keystone Diamonds 60s rear 70s front then sold it for double what I paid......

Not certain.  Perhaps a Lotus Elise SC.  All I know for sure is I need to get something soon.

Just kidding, I don't smoke (anymore).  Oh, and this was never my car.

Sadly Angus, I've also seen cars like that.  Filthy buggers, once, while in the Marines, I saw a brand new Corvette.  Looked inside, pile of ashes/cig just like that.  Some people.

hell I wouldn't do that to my car if I smoked

And I drive a Kia

Hmn....ashtry is full, time for a new car....LOL

Actually, looking at that makes me slightly nausious. That is just wrong.
