Skinstudio 6 -animated Please Wait dialog

Is there a tutorial for this? I can't quite figure out how to get the framebuilder to actually work.

1st) open SKS make sure under preferences you have it set to tree mode

2nd)goto Xp specific sections>edit log off and shut down screens.in tree mode you will see please wait screen hit the expander     button(+) and then you will see>Please wait and Animations expand both

3rd) Your standard static please wait will still show behind the animation as a background

4th)under animations use animation 1

5th) the grey box on the right will help with placement

Now making the animation

1)Your frames must be vertically stacked like the ones on the left in the image below

You can do this in your art program (my fist choice as a png) or if had your frames saved individually you can import with frame builder(2nd Choice)(if you do this make sure to check the bow that says verically stack image)

After your image is complete in SKS goto Tools>Build NWA file for animation

This will open the image compressor

*Select Compress file button

*browse for image

*after you select your image it will ask you how mant frames

*the default compression rate is set on 7 which works pretty good

*hit test and look at animation this is where you may need to adjust compressionrate to preserve quality

*when you are happy hit reencode button

*now hit close(when you do this your new file will be saved in the same folder you browsed to when opening , it will hav a .NWA file extension

*now take that file and put it in the corisponding windowblind folder

*NOW when you goto animation 1 in SKS and hit the drop down arrow you will see your file

Thanks for writing all that out! :)  I got the file saved, but when I click APPLY SKIN, all I get is the blue default image.  I set all the Please Wait image areas to the .NWA file...  What am I doing wrong?

In my ZubaZ WB, I just put a single pixel of color (one that didn't show up against the animation frames) for this image.

Cool!

I may add a bit to the Wiki if you don't mind.

I have been playing with multiple animations for this section and it would be cool to let people know how it's done :)

In your sks preferences, choose Tree mode with search.   You won't find it if you cycle through the pages in section based mode.

It's under Please wait screen/Animation

is it possible to turn the loop off? i tried Loopback=0 but had no luck.

ah, had it loop to second last frame, and that worked for me, so it only plays once, (my last few frames the ani is invisble anyway so worked out good)
