Character Should be Important

All of the headlines are about how McCain is now running attack ads.  It is called mudslinging and is looked upon as bad...I guess.  Why is it bad though?

I think that the candidates should point to each other's character.  I think who the candidates friends and mentors are is very important.  I'm sick of hearing things like, "He no longer associates with..."  Well, if they ever associated with terrorists, radicals and especially if they got money or a leg up politically from them, I think it's damn important!  I think it reveals something important about who they are and where they want to take our country.

So sling away!  If you think the other candidate is truly dangerous to the country, treat him as the enemy!  Take the gloves off and get in there and fight.  Our people need to quit being little weenies and saying "It's not nice for them to bring that up".  And quit hiding behind race!  Let's expose these guys for who they truly are so we can make an informed vote.

I agree.  All Obama does is call them "lies", but actually, the accusations against him are very true.

There's another saying in Puerto Rico (I have a lot of sayings don't I?):

"Dime con quien andas y te dire quien eres" meaning tell me who you hang out with and I'll tell you who you are. And this is so true it's not even funny.

I heard on the news that McCain was suggested to take this route of attacking Obama rather than talking about the economy because since right now the bad economy is a negative towards him, he needs to stay somewhat clear from it for now, while going after Obama for his past connections would allow people to see more than just a guy who makes promisses based on how bad the previous administration was while not having any experience in economy except for when he worked with Ayers and ACORN.

If you dont vote - well I did - in the democrat one.  But that was against Hillary.  I doubt either will get my vote this time.

I've had similar thoughts...neither of the candidates rub me completely right. So what's a voter to do in such a case when the choices are narrowed down to such as these? Not vote? Can we submit a ballot without choosing a president? Would that send a strong enough message or just a wasted trip to the poles?

Come on now! We're talking about people who watched Mayor Marion Barry do a little crack and go to jail. He was such a hero that he was reelected for another 5 years as mayor! There is no sense of right and wrong for many.
