Endless Universe Supported by Stardock?

I live in New Zealand which is finally getting the box version of DA & TA (Aka Endless Universe) which is marketed by Kalypso.

Is this supported by Stardock, i.e. able to patch properly etc etc etc?

Just hopeing it is as i dont have a large enough internet limit to download the game via the internet and have been waitin for this for a while.

Yes, the EU version can be registered in Impulse (it's a separate item from the regular versions) and updated or redownloaded as any other Stardock product.

Judging by my own experience with "Endless Universe" it seems the game is completely unsupported at the moment. I bought EU almost 1 week ago and still I cannot update it (the game doesn't even appear in Impulse's list of supported games). No word of help from Support. Very disappointing.

Endless Universe is NOT in Impulse yet, also it is the same versions as the U.S. copies of DA & Twilight. Nothing 'new'.

Ah, my apologies, as highlander says it seems that option's not in the public Impulse at present.

I received the following message from Tech-Support today (since it might be interesting for others as well I'm posting it here):


EU is not available in Impulse yet, plans are in the making for it to be so, but not at this time.
There is nothing to update as EU is the same versions as our current Dark Avatar & Twilight.


My "Endless Universe"-versions are:

DA 1.82
ToA 1.97

If these are the newest versions (?) everything is fine (leaving aside EU-users cannot use the beta-updates - which is possible to other customers if I understand that correctly). I am mainly interested in the forthcoming V.2.0 so I hope SD is not just building castles in the air ...

EU is already available and it cannot be updated to V.2.0 atm.

"regular" DL+DA+TA version are : (excluding beta 2.0 update)

DL 1.50.135

DA 1.80g.100

TA 1.96.027

 

though it may mean nothing at all since my take on this is that Endless Universe should have different executables to NOT rely on DL

We are planning to get GC2EU supported on impulse for updating; it only isn't yet because there aren't any updates aside from the 2.0 beta. I expect it should probably be by the time 2.0 goes final, or thereabouts.

If Thats the case I believe I know how I going to spent christmas :) I am also from the EU, so I am going purchase Endless Universe I always wanted to try out TA.

Are you also planning to make Endless Universe also be purchaseable on Impulse? Or it will be a retail exclusive?
Because It's not available as retail where I live.

Probably not, since DA and TA are already available worldwide on Impulse in non-bundled form.
