Space Rangers Franchise Now Available Worldwide

I'm please to announce that the entire Space Rangers franchise is now available for sale via TotalGaming.net/Impulse worldwide.  Cinemaware has obtained full rights for sale of the game digitally across all territories, so we're now able to remove all restrictions on sales of Space Rangers, Space Rangers 2, and Space Rangers 2: Reboot. :)

Well, it didn't work. I made a fresh install of SR2 direct from the DVD. After downloading Reboot, it promptly announced that it could not find an installation of SR2. It gave an option to continue anyway, which resulted to the following message:

"RANGERS.EXE - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because DebugMsg.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."

Looks like I have to buy SR2 on Impulse as well.

Edit: The European version released by Excalibur is v1.3 like the US one.

Right-click on SR2 in impulse and choose verify.  It prompt you to browse to the other SR installation.

Perhaps that will help.

Update: After three reinstallations and lots of fiddling around it finally works! For some reason, Reboot originally wanted to install to E: root (my system drive for XP, Vista is on C:), but finally it installed over the existing installation of SR2.
