George Bush and the issue of Abortion: How he is WRONG

Abortion is an issue that seperates many religous people. Some archbishops have spoken that "if you are Catholic you must favor with George Bush's view over the abortion outlook" (paraphrase)

While George W. Bush believes abortion is illegal except in rape and incest. Does the fetus know how it was made? Should the mother of the child be able to make the desicion no matter how the baby was made? The baby is still alive and living in the mother's womb, then why are some fetuses aborted and some not. His opinion contradicts itself. Statistics show that the abortion rate goes up during a republican president because women are not able to afford a baby. During the Reagan Presidency the abortions increased by 5% and during 8 years of Clinton the number dropped 36%.

The world's lowest abortion rates are in Belgium and the Netherland, where abortion is legal, and the welfare state is strong. Latin America, where the aborgions are illegal, has one of the highest rates in the world.

John Kerry can lower the abortion rate.
I am a Catholic and I think abortion is wrong.

Bush says he's prolife while he sends troops to die at war.
He favors the death penalty and has the highest number of executions in Texas.
His health care plan is not working.

I think child pornography should be legalized. It's going to happen anyway, but if legalized, it'll happen in safer environments.

I do agree that if one believes that abortion is murder, then even the mother being raped is not an excuse. It's not as if it's a demon baby as the pro-choicers seem to think. It's no more a demon baby than having a child with a husband who after the child is born, rapes the mother.

But as for abortion being legal, are you sure that's why abortion is lower or is it because Belgium and Holland are welfare states? I don't see Belgium and Holland having higher abortion rates if it were banned, unless girls would do it 'cause they think it'd make them look cool.

This appears to be contradictory, but a majority of Catholics think the same way. Abortion is wrong but that does not rule out a woman's private right to choose.
