Why can't I embed videos?

It used to be pretty easy to embed videos here using the code from places like YouTube, but that hasn't been working in a while.  I seem to recall seeing a few embedded videos, but personally I haven't been able to do it lately.

I can go to NBC.com, find the links and code for embedding bits from Saturday Night Live, but when I paste 'em in place, even if I do it in Windows Live Writer, the code seems to be stripped from the article as it's posted.

What's the trick to getting these videos embedded now?

I was able to get a Youtube video up a bit ago...although with other sites I've been having an error pop up.  The 'Egads!" thing or whatever...

It's being kind of an ass.

Looks like I got one.  Use the html editor to insert the code.  (Two buttons to the right of the emoticons.)

The one above took me three attempts...I kept getting that 'Egads' error.
