That's because jokes on the left aren't as funny as jokes on the right. It's something to do with brain poisoning, but when somebody embraces the left, they tend to become less funny (i.e. Air America).

I think it's actually the case of the right being unintentionally funny. Like every time Ann Coulter opens her mouth, I just laugh and laugh. Willfull ignorance is hilarious.
