What, don't tell me Sarah Palin's already begun electioneering for next time?  

All I can say is I'm glad it was removed...

I mean, we don't need anymore lame Palin jokes around here, right?

It led to lots of accusations about Palin 'conducting state business in secret,' yada yada, and also to a lawsuit by one Andree McLeod of Anchorage alleging that the use of private emails denied citizens the 'right to inspect public records.'  I'm not sure who funded the suit, but I remember hearing a lot of noise about it during the campaign.  I even remember it being front page news, one of the countless critical stories run on the front page about Palin.

Well, whaddaya know?  Back on page 6 of today's paper is an interesting little story.  The judge has ruled in favor of Palin, based on the simple fact that there is no provision in Alaska state law that prohibits use of private email accounts when conducting state business.

The allegations are always front page news.  The truth, when it is revealed, ends up buried somewhere in the back.  Ain't journalism grand.

It had nothing to do with Alaskan state law.... Palin paid off the judge with a moose head for his chambers and a polar bear fur coat for Winter... and now he's exempt from tolls on the 'bridge to nowhere' as well.

It's not just journalism that buries the truth... it gets buried by politicians, judges, lawyers and a largely inadequate judicial system that allows people of influence and wealth to buy their way out of trouble.

The US would be hard pressed to do worse than George W Bush... but God help the World if that 'scatterbrain' Palin ever makes it to the White House

Palin will never be president, she's totally lost her shaggability factor, and as she has nothing but crud between the ears, what's left?

Not where I come from... a bloke in these 'ere parts would never live it down if he shagged a politician, particularly if it was a male one.  Come to think of it, which I do, we got a few female pollies who'd make a bloke want to never show his face again if.....

Palin had exactly nothing going for her...other than she looked a lot like Tina Fey....someone with ACTUAL talent ...;)

She also looks remarkably like "Nailin Palin" pornstar, Lisa Ann... who probably would have made a better White House candidate through her superior communicative skills and policies.  Like Palin, she can only follow a very simple script and isn't a great actress, but she has 'other' skills and would have had a better foreign policy than Palin's: "I can see Russia from my bedroom window". 

Yup, Lisa Ann would have had the Russians IN her bedroom, where she could have kept an eye on them.

Its hilarious to come back here and read some of the comments after a full year of the Obama debacle.  It seems like many of us had his number from the start, and not just becuase we were partisans, but because we actually looked into him and understood what a fraud and phoney he was.

I'm glad the database took a dump and lost all that embarrassing stuff that Starkers posted.

Oh well, shit happens.  Still you know my views on Palin... and you can't unknow them.
