Yes. To counter LRF you can use Scout or Carrier with fighter.

Do not build too many of them though, because everything except LRF eat them for breakfast

And only use scout if you are rushed, because they are cheap and fast to build .

If you are on the offensive, use Carrier or HC instead.

How about the FLAK ships? Are they any good vs the LRMs?

Well if you rush carriers I don't think you'll be able to counter a LRF rush simply because they can build more than you.

Best thing to do is make sure you as many long range frigs as your enemy and then try to get some carriers for a tactical advantage.

Well, I built a few fighters, and they're trully amazing in small scales battles (I'm in the 7th scenario).

To attack a planet, I have one capital ship (with bombers), around 20 lights fregates, 2 repare ships (i researched) and 5 carriers (8 fighters & 2 bombers) and that's more than enough usually against a normal CPU.

I focus fire on capital ship with bombers and capital, kill small frigates with my lights one and harash LRM/fighters with my fighters, that's does works.

I never used squadron, but they trully are a non-negligible force, thx for the advice !

Flak ships tend to have increased armor, but that's all that's good about them, aside from their (to be nerfed) anti-fighter weaponry. The best function they have against LRFs is to act as meat shields/aggravating distractions.
