Two things.... One, somebody should make stephen colbert, yes I know he is in the game already but as a canidate seeing as he was at one point running in the election. (i am not very good at making custom canidates)

Two, is there a way you can get more points to add to your custom canidates stances on the issues or whatever.

2. Yeah, you should be able to go into the .CANDIDATES file and manually update those stats, though I dont know if they'll work over multiplayer if they break the points limits.

How do you upload your own candidates? I have a multitude of West Wing characters to add!!

If you're logged in over on Wincustomize.com, you simply...

1. Click the 'Submit to Gallery' link below your screename

2. Select the 'Poitical Candidates' library from the dropdown list

3. Fill in all the fields: Skin name is the name of the candidate, the image is just the picture the galaxy uses, and the candidate file is located in the candidates/packages directory (and does not need to be in a zip file).

Pending approval (I'll be moderating and help you as necessary) your candidates will be available for other players to download, rate, and comment on.

I'll try to get a more in-depth tutorial on the Candidates Library on monday.

I wish this were more widely advertised, and that there were an appropriate forum for custom candidates, but I do praise the  beginning of this library.  It was sorely needed.

You might want to put a little (some/any) detail in the description.  Be imaginative.  List their strengths and weaknesses.  Remember that not everyone that plays the game will know who American Politicians are.

I'd like to see some foriegn candidates created!  Anyone wuith any ideas?

I've been thinking some for the Europa scenario would be cool, in the style of that scenario and might play with some once I'm done playing with my 1860 candidates.

Well there is still no stephen colbert but... all the canidates created and added so far are really good! i think this topic should be stickied or a link for the custom canidates should be included in the downloads section, there is only and update thing... and also is there a place to download custom scenarios? (i am guessing no...) but it would be cool to have a way to create some or have some new ones added in the future i.e. the 1968, or presidents running for election durin great depression

I cannot find my candidate files within my game folder for the game

I want to upload one of my canddidates, any sort of direst step by step way to find correct candidate files would be greatly appreciated (i can find files i have downloaded but not those which i have created myself outside of the game)

[edit] Apparently my submission was rejected, I'm not really sure why.  Either I somehow uploaded it wrong or Stephen Colbert falls outside of fair use?

Hello all.  I have made several characters  which I woud love to post.  Only problem is they work  fine but I can only give them the stock points they arent powerful at all.  As far as money, fund raising and so forth can someone please tell me which file  I can  edit to  boost their rating,,I have tried but it doesnt show up in the game.  All help would be appreicated.

How would I go about adding a Ronald Reagan or Elizabeth Dole to the candidate list?

I'm also not all that talented when creating candidates.  Is there a way to find candidates like on Google and convert them into PM08?

Hey Zubaz, or others who are running the candidate share program. I just tried submitting to candidates, I am not sure if they went through. they are- Democrat- Arugala Elitist and Republican- Christian Cowboy. thanks, great set up guys.

Christian Cowboy was in the queue (but has been rejected due to a tiny picture).  Look for an email and reupload with a bigger head shot.
