WB6 - Missing windows elements after applying (any) theme

Hello just installed WindowBlinds 6 on my Vista 64-bit installation...unfortuantely having nothing but problems with it.

As soon as I apply a them I start losing windows elements (ie. Checkboxes, etc.) ... even within the WindowsBlinds software.

For example, I installed the Pirates Theme from MyColors and then opened up the customization window for Desktop icons...

All buttons (Ok, Cancel, Apply) had the text "Change Icon"... the checkboxes for "My Computer", "Network", etc were no longer displayed.

On the WindowsBlinds 'Settings' menu, all checkboxes were missing.

So in case it was just the pirates theme I tried a couple of others...none of them worked...only with the Aero standard settings can I see everything I should.

Any tips so I don't have to fight for a refund??? =)

Go to the system config tab in Windowblinds and post the results here

Also another quick question; have you updated your video drivers in a while?

Could you also post a screenshot of what you are seeing, or not seeing, as the case may be.  Your system information and a screenshot will be very usefull for someone that may be able to try and help you.

okay it wasn't exactly self explanatory but figured it out with file:// url.. =) just a sec and I will put others up...this is the pirate theme from mycolors...but loaded from windowblinds...like i said though I get the same effect with other true wb-themes

okay...so here is the thing...first rule...help yourself =)

First I deinstalled both MyColors, WB6, and TweakVI.  Then I reinstalled only WB6.

I ran msconfig...deactivated all non-windows services and startup programs except for WB6.  To be on the safe side I then downloaded two WB themes (not the pirates one from MyColors )....to be extra safe I downloaded 'ZuBaZ's personal theme =) and Organic...both looked cool and green!

Rebooted and it 'seems' that things are running better now.  Both themes seem to work and I can go back and forth without losing any windows elements.

I will start adding services and programs back in to see if I can figure out where the worm is hiding but I guess then the problem is with my setup.  I will post back if I find anything significant...may be tomorrow though...bedtime =)
