Cannot Uninstall MyColors

Hello,

I would like to uninstall MyColors from my Windows XP SP2 computer but when I try to do that I get a message saying:  "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."  It seems the uninstall procedure requires a path to the MyColors.msi file, which is not on my hard drive.  What should I do?  Thank you.

Search for that msi and run it.  See what happens.

If you have Impulse installed, you can uninstall it from there.

Zubaz, I searched MyColors.msi but it is not on my PC.

Bichur, I installed MyColors by downloading the executable from this site.

BigDogBigFeet, I do not have Impulse.

If you are on XP there should be an uninstaller in the MyColors path at

C:\Program Files\Stardock\MyColors\uninstall.

reboot and try that.

Ok, I'm sorry I'll try to clear this up look for:

C:\Program Files\Stardock\MyColors\uninstall.exe

The program uninstall.exe should be found in your MyColors directory.

Warning though this will delete everything including the MyColors Directory and your MyColors themes.

I located uninstall.exe and ran it.  It removed files in the main folder but subfolders are still here with files in them.  Some subfolders cannot be accessed by Windows.  What should I do now?  Thank you.

Delete the My Colors folder(assuming you don't want anything that's there) by right clicking and selecting delete.  If you use a registry cleaner then do that also then reboot.  Although I must admit based on what I've read, I was really expecting the unistaller to delete everything for you.

All i'm wondering about this; HOW DO YOU GET THE WINDOW FOLDER DESIGNS BACK???

(Whenever I make a new folder, it turns to a Think Green one. How do I fix that?)

>demango.  The way to restore standard XP, Vista, 7 themes is to do that from MyColors.  If you still have MyColors installed then open it and select the appropiate default theme (XP or Aero).  That should do it.

If you have uninstalled MyColors reinstall it and do the above.
