Blogging My Trip to Stardock: Preparation

I’m taking a trip to Michigan tomorrow to the Stardock HQ for a few days.  I thought it would be fun to blog my trip and give people a bit of an inside look at some things we will be planning, at least the stuff we can talk about in public.  I guess you could think of it as a “behind the scenes” thing, so I hope it will interest you.  Hopefully I can get some really cool pictures and stuff to post while I am there this week.

I have no problem in admitting I don’t like to fly, at all.  I have no problem actually doing it, it’s just one of those things where it causes a lot of stress, but what are you going to do.  I’m also not much of a traveler, and as many of you know, I work from home so even though this trip is just a few days long, I had to do quite a bit of shopping simply because I don’t have clothes for an office environment.

So aside from that, I spent some time cleaning out my laptop and making sure it will be as “peppy” as possible.  I also wanted to make sure all the applications I have were up to date, and that I have all the necessary folders on this machine.  Being that I’m into a lot of social networks, I discovered a site called TripIt, where it basically creates a completely itinerary for your trip including things like weather forecasts, etc.

I will also be giving updates via Twitter, so if you are on there, be sure to get connected with me there.  So for now, let me know if there is anything you might like to see (if possible) behind the scenes.

Bring a light jacket, it's been getting chilly at night. :)

Take a video camera and do some interviews too! Photos are great - but a video says more than anyone could think if edited correctly. Will be watching your ever move there Island Dog. This is a very good idea!
