Hardware based instancing?

Error message:  Hardware based instacing required.  Please ensure system has current video drivers.

Happens on game startup before right after the demigod splash screen.

System: 3.0p4, 2gigs ddr, geforce 5700 ultra (128 ddr3), p915 north bridge mobo, ms xp (my own special build of sp2), sata hd, sb live!, onboard lan,

Drivers: dx 9.0c, Nvidia 6.14 force (5/08).

Game wont launch...  Any thoughts?

it means your video card doesn't support shader model 3, which is required for demigod. That's a pretty old video card - it would probably struggle even if it was supported.

You've probably got an AGP port, so not all of those cards will work for you. The nV you can get that'll do best is a 7 series.

Yeah need at least a 6800 i beleive..

But you can get an 8800gt or 9600gt for like $120 now.  PCI-E.

You lucky bastard! Good job! I have an 8800 gt, and it's made of win for the price. There's a reason it's also the 9800 GT (check the evga facts sheets, it's pretty funny, they're the same card), and the GTX 200 series doesn't have a low end card yet, so it's still one of the best cards you can get and is surprisingly cheap.
