Intel E8400

EVGA 680i Mo/Bo

4GB Mushin PC-8500 RAM (2x2GB)

2xGeforce 8800 GTS (640MB versions)

Creative X-FI

250GB WD HD 16MB Cache

Windows Vista x64

All Drivers and Window Updates Current

Second, Game Settings:

Resolution: 1680 x 1050

V-Sync: On

Fidelity: High

Shadows: High

Anti-Aliasing: 8

Texture: High

Details: High

Report:

During 2 hours of play I did not experience a single crash or lock-up of any kind. I did experience an occasion 1 or 2 second pause from time to time for seemingly no reason that I could discern.

With a single video card, I got around 30FPS and when I switched to SLI, I still got around 30FPS so I assume there is a FPS limit built into the game. However, the game ran just as stable under SLI than it did with a single card.

I had no problem maintaining the 30FPS zoomed all the way in or out or even when their were a lot of enemies on the screen with a lot of eye candy effects going off.

I obviously have a high-end machine and I keep it well tuned and maintained, I do not overclock as there is no need with my current hardware. So the game seems very stable to me, it starts up fast and shuts down fast as well. I have seen games that take forever to shut down.

This is as smooth as an early Beta that I have ever played....Good work SD!

I will continue to play to seek out problems and report them as I find them.

I haven't had any crashes or problems either, running on all max settings(except for resolution) with

Intel Quad Q6600

4GB Ram

HD4850 (1GB)

XP 32bit(so really only 3.5gb ram) ... gonna upgrade real soon to 64bit.

AMD 5200+
Geforce 9800 GX2
4GB RAM
Windows Vista 32

Everything High, max. AA, resolution 1280x1024 (yeah i should get a new screen someday :p)

Noticed the same 1 or 2 sec pause from time to time.
However, that's a general perfomance bug, no matter what spec you have, i did read about this issue in several threads already.
Other than that, the game runs perfectly smooth.

Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 Ghz

2 GB RAM

Windows XP SP 3

Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset

Note: The system is a laptop

vertical sync: off

fidelity presets: custom

shadow fidelity: off

anti-aliasing: off

level of detail: low

Over the course of a approximately 1 hour game, the program was stable, with no crashes. However, the overall performance was poor, with framerates typically ranging from 4 to 6 fps, dropping even lower toward the end of the game as the map filled with units.

Ive tried the beta on 2 systems and get an identical crash every time I launch the map from the lan setup screen. The map loads up and I can see it when it is zoomed out but than it freezes after 1 second but the music keeps on playing. I dont see any units on the map.

I suspect it must be some app I use that makes the game crash since I have pretty similar setups on both machines.

Anybody else use mc affee security center and have the same problem?

System 1:  Stationary, win xp sp3, xp 3500+, 1 gig ram, geforce 7900gt.

System 2: Laptop, win xp sp3, HP c2d, 2 gig ram, geforce 7600gt.

Where can I locate error log for the game?

For me, the beta has run smoothly without crashing, aside from some lag issues in multiplayer over Hamachi.

I'm running XP x64 on an Athlon X2 4600+ with 4GB and a Radeon x1950, and the game is great in 1600x1200 with everything but AA set to high.

Game has ran extremely smooth for me as well.  I do also experience the random freeze up for a few seconds.  Seems to happen when destroying towers and/or the stronghold of the opposing team.

I have tried on both my systems:

Mac Pro: 2 x Intel Xeon 5482 @ 3.2 GHz, 6 GB DDR2-800 (FB-DIMM), 8800GT 512MB, Windows Vista x64 SP1 (Res: 1920x1200)

Runs perfectly maxed out on this system.

MacBook Pro: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.33 GHz, 3 GB DDR2-667, ATI X1600 Mobility 256MB, Windows Vista SP1 (Res: 1440x900)

Have to tone it down a bit, no AA, and pretty much everything on medium, but it runs great under those conditions.

I'm extremely impressed with the performance of this game.  I can't wait to test in on their online system, but hamachi/LAN games work for now.  Keep up the excellent work GPG and Stardock.

What kind of graphics adaptor do you have? Mobile chipset integrated graphics are almost universally poor, to be frank. In fact, most won't run games at all, since they're completely unable to carry out certain functions. If your laptop doesn't have a discrete graphics adaptor, that might be the best performance you can expect.

@OP - the graphics options have a vsync option - maybe yours is turned on? I turned off v-sync, and my own games have been ranging between 60 to 80fps, so there's definitely no lock involved. Also, depending on your monitor/resolution, some of the resolution options in the graphics menu may be repeated, except with different refresh rates? Maybe you've selected a 30Hz option? Just guessing here.

I'm using a notebook pc (HP Pavilion dv9500), and I've been impressed by how smooth the game runs. 40 to 60 fps is the norm for 1 player, 5 AI matches.

Now admittedly I turned down all the graphics to their lowest to see my max fps, but I'm definitely turning that up and seeing where I can push it.  Multiplayer with more than 4 actual players can cause my fps to go down to 20-30 fps, so for the final game I might use my Desktop.

Impressed by how smooth its been running so far.  I was half expecting it to crash, as Sins of a Solar Empire and Supreme Commander caused problems.

I also have nothing to complain about in this beta

I only played for about 30 mins yesterday, but it is really stable and smooth for a technical beta, even the gameplay itself maybe fun (if you play it agains human opponents that is)

Here's my report (don't know if I should start another thread ..?) :

My system :

CPU : Core 2 Duo E6600

Chipset : i975X (in a shuttle SD37P2)

GPU : 7950 GT (512 Mo)

RAM : 2Go DDR2 PC5400

Demigod beta 1 run suprisingly fine , I prepared myself to have to spent 1 hour updating my system (drivers ...etc..) , but had nothing to do except clicking install on impulse , running the game and playing

The game is very stable and run quite well @ 1680*1050 (I had to lower details to keep it smooth).

I'm sorry devs , I won't be able to help you find issues with hardware as I don't have any ;P

(If more details are needed , I will gladly add them)

I have played 4 games, 1280x1024.  Looked very good, played smoothly, no stability problems:

Q6600

4gb Ram

Radeon x1950pro

Vert sync on, other video options on max, 1920x1200, 16Q AA. No obvious problems and very stable. There were a few hiccups when died a few times in the beginning and alt-tab in quick successions. Other than that, haven't noticed any performance problems after a 2 hour gameplay.

Torchbearer may have a skill problem. I couldn't get a level 2 fireball even when I have skill point available and on lv 13.
