[bug?] High CPU usage after exit

After playing for a bit, on exit, my CPU remained higher than usual (usual is 2-5%, it was holding 20-50% cpu usage constant).  I rebooted (hey, could be a rogue driver or such), but on reboot, it was still high.  Process explorer said it was coming from "System".  Took a guess (since the only thing under "System" is smss.exe, the session manager) and went to preferences.  Switched my window color scheme from classic to standard, then back to classic... and the extra cpu usage went away again.  Perhaps something is triggering part of the Aero interface to stay active (even though the scheme menu does not show it as such)?

I'm not sure he had a choice back when it was new, and until the Cores came out, AMD was much better than intel.

I think I have that problem too, and I'm on a 2.6 GHz C2D. Changing the theme didn't seem to fix things, though. Odd. It only went that high after it froze when I ALT-TABed back in.
