System Requirements?

So what are the system requirements of this game? I'd love to order it, but I really want to make sure I don't get hosed on the requirements.

We're not sure yet. Post yours, and maybe somebody with the same/worse hadrware'll tell you it's fine or maybe not.

my specs

vista

core2 duo 2.66ghz

2 gig ram

8600gts (256mb)

Anyone running the game on something similiar? Mostly concerned with the video card.

It's fine, I think. I've got a quadro FX 570M, which is basically the same thing if not worse. It should run fine, and I'm mostly on high. The 8600 GTS is a pretty decent card. The 8800 GT smokes it, but it's still not bad. I played crysis on it for a while, and it should do fine.

Thanks, that answers my question. I keep doubting my current card when more games that look like crysis show up. 8C

You'll be able to run smoothly at 1280x1024/medium/no aa with that card. My roommate has the exact same, and gets a steady 30fps with vsync on. >.>

I  tried it on my laptop: Vista, 8600M-GT graphics, 2G RAM, dualcore 2.4GHz, old video drivers.

It ran at 1440 x 900 (laptop native resolution) and while the framerate was kind of low, it was very playable, technically.

Unfortunately I failed to figure out how to play - I was completely baffled, fought the user interface and was entirely lost. So it succeeded in the 'not fun' objective for Beta-1 !

Ouch. The main point is to kill things. Who were you trying to play as? Try the rook, he's got a big enough reservoir of HP that you can get away with mistakes. Also, PLAY WITH A MOUSE for now, you can't seem to zoom without one, and that's essential right now. Just play some games and it should start making sense relatively quickly. The interface... bring a mouse. Seriously, it's that important.

About the computer. What level of settings are you trying to play on? I've got a slightly better in all regards laptop that's running an amazingly smooth looking 15 fps, so if you're also running mostly high settings, it's no wonder it's chugging.

I´ve got a Pentium4 3GHZ (HT) and a 7600GT.

I´m able to play on the native resolution of 1280x1024 and everything on high (except the textures, they are on mid). I´ve disabled AA (I never use it).

And it runs very smooth, think the fps rate is at ~35 all the time.

Wow, that's really good. Did you check your framerate? It looks way smoother than the numbers say, which is really good and shows that the animators really know their stuff (I have always found that a bad framerate with smooth animations looks less jerky than a mediocre one with bad animations).

I'm running a quad core 2.4GHZ, 8800 GT SLi with 2G 1088 OCZ. Running 1600x900 (WS) with everything on max settings and 8XAA - no framerate issues. From a technical standpoint, the game runs flawlessly for me. I'm going to fiddle with SLi settings this weekend to see any framerate differences.

I'm really sorry to hear that :hugme: , it's a real shame you can't play. What do you have? There may be an easy upgrade to make it work.
