Indeed, and Democrats can't act innocent to fund-raising lies, soundbytes and malicious smear-campaigning either.

Palin is worrying though. She is a very good candidate but has a few too many rough edges that, when coupled with her inexperience, result in silly errors like her statement.

Palin is kind of like Biden in 2001 (when he suggested things such as giving Iran $200million, no strings attached). Sure she said something stupid, a lie. But then Obama lies and says things stupid everyday, McCain lies, Biden certainly says stupid things.

I know.  I'm increasingly disaffected by both major parties.

Frankly, I think they should both be done away with.

If your saying that a "VICIOUS ATTACK DIRECTED TOWARD MY FAMILY"  is not saying that obama is attacking her kids are her kids not apart of her family.  Why cant conservatives just admit it when they screw up????  I mean even on such a small scale as this.  That is kinda why I posted this.  Really in the grand scheme of things this is a more minor item.  I just wanted to see if there was just a blind following that would try to justify anything or if we could at least have a honest disscussion here.  I guess I got my answer.  She(or her handlers, it really comes down to her anyway)messed up.  Obama specifically took the high rode on this issue and she didnt.

But not from Obama and Biden.  Why is there a need to say obama/biden.  Why not just say it like it is.  There are radical democrats making attacks against my family.  The way she said it is VERY misleading and in my book and many others(mostly repubs) thats considered lying.

I never said there were not attacks on her or her family.  But I abhore that type of behavior and obviously so does Obama, especially when he siad right out of the gate no one in my campaign better touch this or they will be out of a job.

You are really having to reach to defend your argument here.  And your definition of 'lie' leaves a lot to be desired.  'Course, it serves the left well to broaden the definition of 'lie' to mean anything they don't like.

I know she successfully did this in an attempt to raise money.  At your job if you say "mislead" your boss about your numbers to make them look better and he finds out they were not accurate what do you think he might do?  I say you would most likely be looking for another job.

To diawa why should he have to condemn these other organizations he doesnt run them.....your off topic here a bit.    I mean seriously then should McCain have to condemn all conseervative writers or thinkers?  Of course not.  The point is that Obama/Biden didnt say anything.  And yes there are "other Democrats"  I have been told so here on this forum by conservatives that some of them are McCain democrats that will vote for him.  How many times have we heard about Reagan democrats?  There are still Hillary Democrats.

Yes but this is in direct effect of his campaign, Obama would have done the same, McCain hasnt blasted talk show hosts about what they say on their shows nor should he.

I think we are going to have to just disagree on this one.  I see it differently.

Now we are getting somewhere.  I think we can agree(alot of us heredems and repubs) that we all probably wish to have a real debate and not all the negative ads.  I am all for it.  Lets sit down and have a real debate.  No more Oh Palin's 17 year old is pregnant, or oh Obama is a muslim.  Obama, McCain what will you do for us and how?  Those are the items we should disagree on not the fringe people of both parties and third parties making dumb and negative attacks.

I dont know about that Daiwa in his acceptance speech he must have said I am gonna do this and I am gonna do that about 20 times in a row there.....Doesnt sound like he even wants the rest of us lowly people along:)

Just an FYI I have noticed that Little whip has been replying to some of these posts.  My guess is that she is replying to at least some of mine.  I skip over all of her posts and dont read them nor do I respond to her.  Not to be rude, but when I first came to this forum I got into a disscussion on a different thread where she had to cuss, degrade, belittle, and basically act like a child towards me.  I repeatedly asked her to be more civil, she refused and acted like a bigger child.  I then said that I would no longer respond to her if she continued her ways, she did continue and I finally said enough, I dont need to deal with a child.  Since then I have seen other posts basically telling her the same thing and I did notice no one came to her aid. 

Probably because of her actions, most people here seem to get fired up but usually temper their anger pretty good in terms of name calling and childish behavior, so I try to do the same.  I think that when discussing such matter we should be civil to one another even though I know that these issues go to the core of who we all are.
