Unable to skin the CD/DVD drive

Now that the activation issue seems to have been fixed thanks to the recent beta update, I decided to use IconPacakger again to reskin the cd/dvd drive icons. Whenever I choose any icon package, all the icons change to the new ones except for the cd/dvd drive icons. This was a bug that happened before the beta upgrade as well.

When I try to change the icon manually by going to properties, it asks me to reboot the computer when I click apply. I do so however, the icons remain unchanged when I relogon. If I click no to rebooting the changes are made to the drive icon but as soon as I shutdown or reboot normally, the drive icons go back to their default mode.

Tried doing it with Individual Drive Mode on and off neither seems to work.

What OS and Iconpackager version number.

I am on XP SP3, IP 4.09[b].003(x86)

My A drive, 3.5 floppy, E,F and G drives, usb thumb drives, are always skinned by IP package. (with a very few packs I use there is no thumb drive icon in pack), D drive, CD, now seems to be not changing, had never noticed before as I remember it changing properly.

Yeah sorry, should have mentioned OS as well. I'm using Windows XP SP3, IP 4.09[b].003 (x86), same as you. The floppy drive and hard drives all change when I apply the icon package either by applying the entire package through IP or by changing the icons individually, so that functions normally. The CD/DVD drives however still don't change as they should.

XP SP3 (as of today)

SP2 yesterday - noticed mine weren't changed when I read this last night

also noticed today if I open IconPackager > (using Slicer Vista) > it's there looking in "Preivew" & in "Icons & Cursor", but when I looked in "Individual Drive Mode" it's blank then stayed blank coming out of drive mode

'about' shows version 4.00.165 (x86)

same with "LK" - it shows until I click the individual drive mode - there it's blank & when i back out of the idm, it's now still blank

Just noticed too. I usually have something in my CD-Rom and DVD. Is someone going to submit a ticket on this and reference this thread?

Just an update.  I got a reply from Stardock Support regarding the CD and DVD icons not being skinned.  Support has this documented as a known issue and is on the Dev's list.
