Shattered suns

Wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't play for long.

Certainly not my cup either. In fact, unfortunately, I'd rate it the worst game I've played in years. Camera control and graphics were beyond substandard. The game telling me I was a noob for not getting it didn't help. The UI was a joke. If this game had been released 4-5 years ago, it might have caught my favour.

Some of the game's ideas are pretty interesting, however it has one glaring problem, substandard UI and a lack of widescreen resolutions.  The graphics are poor but are no where near as bad as the UI.  If this game had been released about 10 years ago it would have been a good game, however UI standards and screen resolutions have come a long way since then.  Is it to much to ask for a UI to take up MORE then ~10% of your screen to at least be understandable.  I couldn't even get past the first mission,  I had no clue what was going on.  It took me about a day to get past the training missions as they are a joke and the text telling you what to do is hard to read. 

I hate to say this but this is one of the worse games I have ever seen, it might get better with patches but it would require a complete redo of the UI and even then they would have to redo the graphics to bring it up to at least homeworld standard. 

ya i figure it had bad graphics from the pics on the boxs but it had a cool consept of costom weapons and ships it soinded like sins meets Galciv2 but i guess not ohh well i can all ways get Civ4

Yep, bought it, tried the training missions and uninstalled. I think the basic idea is good, but the UI really is ... well ... bad. Even the in-between starmap and the 'chat' has wrapping problems where lines overwrite the next one.

It's a retarded piece of crap.

I'm going to play it today to make sure i give it a fair chance; but my first impression after the first day of playing is not very good.

What is this game about may i ask as i have never heard of it up until this thread.

Ugh, I got that thinking it would be similar to Sins, but it's absolute rubbish.

by the look of the box it looks like a crose af Galciv2 with costom weapons and ships and Sins as a RTS
