MCCAIN BRINGS CHANGE

MCCAIN PICKS PALIN

So after all the talk by Obama about change, it was John McCain who beat him at his own game.

It's McCain who brings change to the ticket, not Obama.

Just like I've been saying all along.  Obama is all talk with not alot of substance.  He's a walking, talking empty suit.  His pick of Biden just helped to underscore the fact that when push comes to shove, it's the same old, same old afterall.

Kudos to John McCain for a great first decision as the possible next President of the United States.

While Obama talked about change, McCain just quietly went about and brought it!   Palin, a young 44 will be the first female GOP nominee ever.  Not only that, she's doing a wonderful job in Alaska (they have a surplus) and is not a hardened old school politician.  She brings a vibrant fresh look to the scene of politics.

Hillary must be steaming about now!

It's not about the talk, it's about the walk that matters in the end.

A McCain/Palin ticket will be hard to beat now.

Palin does seem like an ideal politician, but I'll wait to see.

Let's see.......I got a quarter, 2 dimes and 3 pennies.  Is that enough change? ;)

ha!  not as much as McCain brought to the table!

Exactly right, Obama's first decision was all about politics as usual - he picked a guy who has been in the Senate since Nixon's presidency. McCain, shook things up and walked the walk as he always has. Luckily, the core base of the party who still think Bush is the greatest President since Abraham Lincoln didn't get Romney or things wouldn't look as good right now.

exactly Anthony.  I knew Romney was NOT a good choice.

But another thing I'm impressed about McCain that I haven't heard mentioned yet.  And that is the fact that McCain stole Obama's thunder today.

The timing must have been calculated and what a smart move on McCain's part.  The news tonight should have been all about Obama's speech and instead it was all about McCain and Palin.  Awesome!

It's becoming noticeable that while Obama's been shooting his mouth off all over the place, McCain has been quietly and wisely plotting his moves just like the military man that he is.

Mari told me this news today over a chat program...she's in San Diego at the moment.  A better chess move in politics I haven't seen in a while.

I had to laugh.  It was a brilliant move indeed.

Something we can both agree on Ock.  Hmmmmm maybe McCain is a chess player after all?

It's sure makes for an interesting upcoming election.

Time will tell if this was a checkmate move........I'm of the opinion it is, but we'll see.

If by change you mean an inexperienced untested politician who's only other experience is 2 years as governer of Alaska, one of the least populated states in the union, and the mayor of a town of 6,700.

Don't you people think its funny that McCain has been attacking Obama for lack of experience, yet he picks a person for VP with even less?

Damn! It's almost as if she wasn't running for president but only for vice president and will have two years experience as governor and four years as vice president when she finally runs for president herself.

"and is not a hardened old school politician" Hahahahahah. Oh my god I couldn't stop laughing. See my above post

In case you haven't noticed McCain isnt the image of vitality. Palin is just a heartbeat away from the presidency. Thats what the point of having VP. to take over the presidency in case of an emergency. Palin would fail at that task. Biden on the other has had lots of experience that would help in case of an emergency.

Palin has MORE experience than Obama in that she's held an executive position and done so successfully.  She's also been an elected official fo 13 years and by looking at her history, she comes very well rounded and a high achiever as well.  She will do a fine job.

All we need is four years.  McCain is a brand new 72.  Not as old as some have been holding the highest position in their land and he seems well enough right now to do the job.  I mean, anything can happen, she could die of a stroke or plane crash just as well.  We don't know how long any of us has on this earth.

Besides she's a very tough nut (her dad said) and is no pushover.  I'm sure if anything happens to McCain, she will get the best advisors around her just like past Presidents have done and make a decison based on their advice, just as past Presidents have done.

Biden on the other has had lots of experience that would help in case of an emergency.

Biden, on the other hand, is a hypocrite.  I would rather vote for a classy brainy well spoken honest woman than an old time hypocrite who doesn't stay true to his beliefs and is the same old same old in Washington.

I admit that executive experience would come in handy but as a pointed out earlier, Governer of Alaska for a short time and mayor of a small town isnt enough qualifications to be that close to the presidency. And you seem to forget that McCain is the oldest first term presidential canidate.

If the choice for President was Palin vs Obama I would take Palin... She has more experience and a long list of real accomplishments.

Governer of a state with a 1.2 people per square mile (compared to I dunno washington station with a 88.6 people per square mile) and mayor of small town of 6,700 is probably the least amount of experience of vp canidates in modern history.  Whereas Obama has served as a civil rights lawyer and Constitution Law Teacher at one of the most prestegious law schools of all time, a State  senator for 7 years and a US Senator for 4 years.  If you have ever studied history one of the greatest presidents of all time Abe Lincoln had even less experience.

It's McCain who brings change to the ticket

in personnel ... that is for sure .... in policies and direction? ... please be serious .... is that how trivial the VP position is in your thinking? ....

Oh my god I couldn't stop laughing.

i have been doing that since yesterday .... dont you love the spin?!!!!

you must admire the facts-be-damned mentality !!!!! no facts are immune to dismissal, no triviality is too ridiculous to aggrandizement

Well proof is in the pudding.  While Obama TALKS BIG about change his first big decision was anything BUT change.

While quietly in the background McCain's first decision was  a BIG CHANGE.  And by the way Palin kicked the corruption out of her state, I'd say she's one for change as well.  She is anything but the "same old, same old."

Palin brought corruption. Read the news lately? She currently being investigated for abuse of power.

And please stop patting yourself and McCain on the Back. It's pretty pathetic and adds nothing to the debate.

Palin is just a heartbeat away from the presidency. Thats

She has more experience than Obama - and he is zero heartbeats (if elected) from it!

DOnt you just love this squirming and squealing the Obamabots are doing?  You can tell how much they are scared by the desperation of their talking points.

the least amount of experience of vp canidates in modern history.

But apparently not for president as we see in Obama.

Dr Guy I hate having to repeat an ENTIRE POST but apparently you like to just skim through all the arguments. Here we go again. "Whereas Obama has served as a civil rights lawyer and Constitution Law Teacher at one of the most prestegious law schools of all time, a State  senator for 7 years and a US Senator for 4 years.  If you have ever studied history one of the greatest presidents of all time Abe Lincoln had even less experience."

Exactly Doc.  I've noticed that as well.

So what am I supposed to do, say nothing and just let you go off with no comment Aidan?  My comment was in response to your comment.....had nothing to do with patting myself or McCain on the back.

How'd you get that from comment #18?
