Pppppppfffffffff, the weather gadget is out of order because they should have their system corrupted, and while then they rejected the widget a did (perfectly working ...) because of course their system can't work ...
Several moderators, including myself could not get it to change locations. If there is some super-secret way of doing this maybe you could enlighten us, but if it's not functional, it's rejected.
If your using vista64, replace the files in "program files(x86)\stardock\desktopgadgets\gloss burgundy weather" with the files in this zip supplied to me by your techie
Curt Hendzell. http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/GlossBurgundy_Weather.zip
Curt was working with me on the vista64 problem ... I don't know if these files are the
final code files for other versions of WIndows, but they do work if you have Vista64.
No secret, just click on the location (not double cliok, just one click, then enter the location as city, COUNTRY or zipcode
Try any of my other weather widgets it's same script and they have always worked :NOTSURE:
I had to Double click to change location
on my XP
on my XP
You're right
I have Vista Ultimate 64...and no it does not work.
Sorry for all the confusion folks. My/Mike's batch files should be all fixed up now. Make sure to pay attention to the instructions for them. You need to save the StardockWeather.ocx to the following directories:
32bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock
64bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Stardock
If need be, replace 'C:\Program Files\Common Files' with the Program Files dir on your machine. The .bats will point to %programfiles% and others accordingly. Also note you may have to manually create the \Stardock dir in these locations if it's not there already.
These directories are listed in the output of the .bat. Once you save the file there, hit any key to push the batch file along, and it will register the control and should get things working. These should work for any weather gadget/docklet/etc. giving this error.
Send me an e-mail at [email protected] or a PM if you run into any snags.
Oh, yeah, the links:
32 bit: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/install_weather.bat
64 bit: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/install_weather_64.bat
Note: These must be run as admin (right click, run as administrator) in Vista. Even if you have UAC disabled.

The above zip file eliminates the need for vista64 user to copy the stardockweather.ocx
to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock directory.
I have tried everything that has been suggested here, and nothing has worked.
Autorun (checked) works too.
I realize this fix is for the Weather gadget, but is anyone working on the problem
with the clock? Clock gadget second hand doesn't move unless you mouse-over, then it may jump ahead 2-5 sec ... mouse-off, stops again.
I'm seeing the same clock problem in Gloss Mint. In addition, the minute hand freezes for several minutes at a time even when the second had get nudged into motion. If I right click the clock I get a message that thereis a problem with the ESIRegister shortcut.
I'm going back to the Sidebar clock.
On the other hand, the weather gadget is working fine.
Same here and the calanders do not work either - take your pick I have 12 themes
