Wormholes

Wormholes

I just got TOA ,....and i saw a few worm holes which lead to  quiet distant places in the map

Is it possible fo me to design fighters, frigates and other capitalships with survey  modules and use the worm hole to get my fleet instanty accross the map ?

Do the wormholes lead to the same place in the map..every time u go in ?

That said, if you're running so much of a surplus that you have over 10,000 bc lying around I think you need to start finding nefarious uses for it. Go bribe a few wars into existance or something

This is one of those themes that really shows the scalablility of the GC2 engine. I think my late-game economies are the GC2 analog to "upper middle class." If you need to spend 20-30k per turn to avoid a loss, you *can't* just spend it on bribes--you can't talk to the other civs often enough. When you can run an economy like Magnumaniac or Mumblefratz, my "problems" start looking small.

I have sometimes gotten lazy about things (bored upgrading and rush-building) and just started pouring money into an ally or allies (you can talk to them as often as you like). But that's only vaguely nefarious, and then only if they're at war with someone you don't like.

I like to stockpile my resources as best I can.

I never have enough starports to rush-buy a 100 ships per turn.

Maybe I should just put one on each world just for the hell of generating those 100's of ships per turn.

I like to keep every race alive for as long as possible.

So whenever the Drath start going a bit out of line with their manipulations. I am there to be their antagonist. So I funnel cash to the races who are at war, in order to sign peace treaties.

So technically, I am the Galactic UN.

And I also like to (during the colony rush) nowadays, sell colony ships to the Minors. I also do this if my population gets to big. If my population gets to large during a war with another race (which is very, very late game, usually turn 1000 just to be punctual), I will send colony ships to that planet/planets, and I will then sell the colonizers to the race that I am at war with. I'll of course have a few armed ships nearby, to "dispatch" the insolent farmers that think I'm a Dick With Ears. Make an example of them. That'll teach 'em.

It's sortof ironic to do so. It's like selling slaves to other races.

I think I should try that one day. Having a slave capital. I'll put ten farms on a class 26+ planet, along with 3 fertility clinics, coupled with the Super Breeder ability, the rest stock markets. Then when the masses get unhappy (the way all slaves do), I'll sell them to the highest bidder. Of course I will use the switch races cheat (ctrl+shift+W) and send that colonizer to that other races planet, so that it will know what to do with it. Because their too damned stupid to figure out what they're supposed to do on their own.

If anyone thinks that I'm a Megalomaniac............

Please respond.

Till then...........

LET'S RAGE!!!!!

I find wormholes mildly useful if you're lucky enough on immense galaxies, makes you have contact with races at the other side of the galaxy ... Moreso since I modded my games with less effective range modules ... (being able to reach the other half of the galaxy with your starting colony ship being a little too much for my tastes ... ) O:)

I upgrade my surveyors after the anomalies start to wind down.   Then I replace them with cheapo 25bc survey ships on Tiny hulls  (I get the Galactic Guide Book).   They make cheap sensor ships anyway.  Even my PQ3 planets can crank out one of those in 2 turns.

First, I build my surveyors on small hulls early on, so they've got some hit points on them.   If they find a Starship Graveyard, it's a no-brainer:  I upgrade it to a fighting ship.   Otherwise, it'll probably wind up a constructor or a trader, just because it's already located in some remote corner of the galaxy already.   My flagship almost surely found a Starship Graveyard at some point, so it's bound to be upgraded to some kind of powerful Medium Hull ship.  It's lived up to its name on more than one occasion.

I'm betting that there are new types of anomalies in TA as well isn't there!

And no one has told me if I'm a Megalomaniac or not!

nope, not the case

there isn't even an additional anomalies.xml in TA directories, so TA just use DA anomalies.xml ^_^

which in turn is just the same as DL anomalies except for lessened amounts of BC when money is involved

And why won't anyone aknowledge the fact that I'm a Megalomaniac in my games!!!
