Updating my avatar - how?

Doesn't seem to be working

from WinCustomize Forums

I've gone into my wincustomize settings and clicked on update images.  I have a new avatar I would like to use.  I browsed to the right jpeg on my hd and clicked on upload at lower left on screen as indicated.  The screen then says "Uploaded Successfully" but the image doesn't change.  What do I need to do or is this broken along with the photo galleries?

Tried it doesn't work.

As I've tried to indicate I have followed every step to update my avatar indicated on the update images page. When I browse to the jpg that's on my hd it finds it. I then click on upload as shown on lower left of this page, it the indicates "Uploaded Successfully" however, the avatar does not change. No actual uploading and updating of my avatar takes place. It's broken.

Ok, thanks yrag. Is this a long term problem? It seems so since my photo gallery has been broken for months now.

It appears to just be a hiccup...if it's been 'months', the problem is on your end. Only alpha in the file names....correct?

yep, all that's correct. It's been months since my photo gallery hasn't worked. Reported that at least six weeks ago. Bebi and Zubaz were both aware of it. But no change.

I thought maybe this image uploading was also broken that long. Just discovered it now though. I'll try again later on the avatar.

Oops...missed that part. One has nothing to do with the other. Clueless as to the gallery remedy, but the personal image problem appears to be a temporary glitch with the servers.

It took me numerous tries over two days and finally it did change for me,at least in the forums.It didn't change on the WC home page though until I followed Bebi's tip.Maybe I just got lucky :D

There have been occasional problems with the upload via Wincustomize.com as of late. I would reccommend you use the upload in the forums. https://forums.wincustomize.com/account/images
