Please help! The Hearts and Minds of Robots

I've settled into this mission, taking time to generally enjoy the game and not blaze through the mission, thinking it would be an easy win... The objective is an alliance with the Yor, however there is no option to create an alliance, even after researching alliances. I also haven't run into the Delta-3. What do I need to do to complete this mission?

Along those lines, is there a walkthrough for this campaign? I've spent an hour or so searching the forums and Google and I haven't come up with anything.

Well, the three requirements for an Alliance are as follows:

You having the Alliance tech
The other race to have the Alliance tech
You having "Close" relations with the race

So you have said that you've completed the first requirement. If you can verify that the Yor also has the tech, then you just need to work on your relations a bit.

To get great relations:

-Have a bigger military than them
-Have better Diplomacy than them
-Have trade routes with them
-Spend a few years w/o being at war with them (not sure the time frame)
-Set up econ and research treaties with them
-Get them at war with some other race for the 'too busy' bonus

Generally all these things will get you up to Close or right on the edge depending on the remaining negatives.

also choose the same side as them : that is "evil alignment",gives a + too

I say this but I'm in the same boat but maybe because I cheated everything }:)

(backstory : I'm not really interested in playing campaigns, just knowing what happens)
