Stardock Virtual Desktop and a wallpaper idea

Yeah I know, how come I've been here all this time but haven't use SVD much yet.  I'm slow and precise, unfortunatley not very good and the learning curve is way out of wack.  :SURPRISED:

I'm using three desktops in SVD, each with a different wallpaper.  I've been looking at this and have decided this needs some help or a different look or minimum some tweaking.

I'm thinking a panorama shot, much like those that can be done for real wide screen set ups, but broken down to multiple wallpapers.  Using SVD with multiple desktops could give the impression of doing a 360 spin.   How about an object centered on the screen (a car) with multiple wallpapers.  You would get the impression of walking around the object.

Okay so now you want to see what I have, that's easy, you're looking at it.

This is a request for some of the fine wallpaper makers here in the community to give it a shot.  I had the idea so lets see what can come of it.

Who knows this just might be the one thing that gives SVD a push.  Hmmm, a sub category in the Wallpaper Library for SVD walls.   It could happen.  ;)

Now if there was some way to have a 3D wallpaper or 3D desktop, oh well, just dreaming.  :NOTSURE:

If you can find one without spyware and such, there's 3DNA...

now if we could convince somebody to buy up 3dna, clean it up and get it to incorporate various stardock apps....

Hmmm, I thought this was a nice idea, maybe not.  :NOTSURE:

I guess there are just not many folks using Stardock Virtual Desktop, oh well.  ;)

Philly, don't get dejected. I'm thinking SVD maybe isn't the right app for your idea. There are apps that do this like the ones you click on and drag around yielding 360 deg. in X,Y and Z axes. I don't see how you could do that with SVD without 6 screen (for a car) or 4 screens for a pyramid....unless I'm not understanding you correctly?
The way I understood SVD is separate desktops with different programs assigned to each desktop....

No, I think what Philly is referring to - using your car example =

wallpapers of the car done from different angles so for example you use 6 VDs :

VD1 is the car headon
VD2 is the car from drivers side
vd3 is car from the back
vd4 is car from the passengers side

so as you switch desktops it would

give the impression of doing a 360 spin.

Yup, that's exactly what I was trying to say Bichur.  ;)

Sorry, philly0381....my dumb. Still, maybe that "cube" desktop that you can rotate and choose a screen might answer your thought, or the viewer that shows scenes like a360 of a car interior or laptop....might even be a cooler evolution of SVD. All the desktops are skinned, incidentally (I played with it for a while).

Here's a link: http://www.cubedesktop.com/

What do you think?

Thanks for the replies Dr J0622 and Bichur.

I've looked at the cube and something called 360 Desktop WWW Link also. I was just looking for the cheap way to make it feel like you had a panoramic or 360 view with SVD.

I really don't want to load another program that might not be compatible with Stardock especially with SVD available.

Maybe a wallpaper skinner/maker will read this post and give it a shot.  ;)
